Man I aint even seen zombieland yet, I heard from fam that that was good. I got 2 movies I want to see this month included in that is paranormal activity I heard that was good to.
I have a friend who has to see every scary movie out in the theaters. He has seen it twice. He loved it. Said it was scarier than Blair Witch Project (when everyone thought that was real). He said there were a few parts where things happened in this movie that pulled him out of it, but he said it was so scary that he couldn't fall asleep for hours afterwards (even after taking nyquil, LOL). He said it was the scariest movie he has seen in years.
Ohhh I've pretty much stayed away from scary films since "28 days later" had me dreaming of zombie lockdowns, but this one looks right up my street, I exspect it will be a million years before it gets to UK.
Jesus, you too??? I never let horror films affect me but I actually had TWO related nightmares after watching 28DL. Didn't stop me watching it and it's sequel, then getting both in 2 other languages and watching those, but I thought I was the only one... I actually dreamed of a central London tube station overrun with Infected - and in the sequel they showed a tube station, albeit with a single Infectee.
I cant wait to see it, I love being scared by a movie because Iam hard to scare, the hood would do that to you, lol. So I love the challenge in horror movies, last horror movie to scare me was the Ring, so it's been a while.
Yeah I'm afraid to say that 28 days later did give me some terrible nightmares, the wake up in a sweat kind, I think it was because it seemed so real especially the bit with the signs of missing people posted on the boarding round the statue of Ethos in Piccadilly, going to London alot at the time and I remember seeing that boarding up while they restored it. And the Merc sitting in the street by itself:smt011 It's a great film and they managed to film it excellently, they did a great job at making that area of London seem deserted, apparently they just asked the public nicely to stay out of shot filming in short bursts at 4-5 am in the morning, Danny Boyle is a great film maker. I have seen it a few times since but I fast forward most of the scenes that bother me.
didnt see it but i will .. i am a big fan of scary movies ..i dont watch too many now because most are stupid .... i like horror movies but with a good story i just dont want to see guts everytime and people in half with thats all i see i like a good story line..
Ermmmm...you can't just leave it there!!! Which scenes?!?!?!? Without giving too much away, in my case it was the Priest, the race up the tower block stairs, Selena taking a machete to someone close to her, and the "Hannah, I love you, DON'T COME CLOSE!!". The last one was just heart wrenching. Watch 28WL if you haven't already, slightly different style, but I'd say it's just as good.
Yeah the bit with the Priest is probably my worst bit, that's just after he has seen the Merc in the middle of the road, lol he goes into the church and sees people sitting in the pews that thing catches sight and well you know the rest or when they are in Blackwall tunnel (another place I have sat for hours in traffic a million times) and they have to change the tire and they get so close you can see the shadows on the wall. Or when the one the soldiers have locked up gets let out Christopher Eccleston had a small but good part in that bit.
This one shouldn't be too gory, Nyx. I happened to see Resident Evil and 28 Days Later on the same day. (I was catching up on DVDs that I hadn't seen.) RE was ok, but 28 Days Later was so much better. Very well executed. It actually ruined the rest of the Resident Evil series for me because I couldn't take them seriously anymore. In my opinion, 28 Weeks Later is a modern example of how to make a sequel that is just about as good as the first.
