I was gonna have a lazy weekend staying home exept i was going to go at the hairdresser at saturday morning, but my friend call and invited me over to go there on saturday evening for the Chinese Moon Festival...

Came home late last nite from Chicago and am going to NJ early in the morning...
Then I go back to Chicago and then I go to Boston and then I go to New Orleans....

Bullshit always follows a death in my family. Mufuckas bein' greedy over my grandma's shit. My cousin tellin' me how our moms and aunt took hella of my grandma's money. And one of our aunts wasn't written in the will, and now our mom's are fighting with our aunt, and all this other shit. Shady ass tax man nigga comin' in the picture. And I know the rest of our family is gonna get greedy, and my grandma never liked most of them fools anyway. And they wonder why my granny never liked goin' to family reunions n' shit. She don't like them niggas. Shit is gonna get UGLY. I don't even wanna be there for the aftermath of the funeral. It ain't gonna be all chill like when my grandpa died, and we ate a big ass meal at my grandma's house, and shit was fine, no beef with anyone. But this shit is gonna fuck this family up even more than it already is. Shit, I do not like my fuckin' family.

Had a bumper week on the Dow, not due to any alleged genius of mine, it's just been wonderfully volatile.

Got the cutest smile an hour ago from a WG in the supermarket, the diet is having the desired result!

and...just sitting here blasting Colplay's "God Put a Smile on Your Face", it's the only song of theirs I like, otherwise they're a bunch of depressed, whiny-voiced, pasty-faced WM english desk-jockeys, whose fanbase consists overwhelmingly of other depressed, pasty-faced, WM english desk-jockeys.

NOT a morning person. At all!

Gotta get to orientation, though, so I can officially start working (and getting PAID) this weekend. So, orientation at 10am, which means up at 6am, coffee, shower, and brief internet, leave by 8...something...nice 15-20 minute walk to the bus stop, 40 minute bus ride, another 20 minute walk, then 4 hours of booooring training that I'll understand within 5 minutes. But it's all good. When I said I'd do anything for a legit job, I wasn't kidding. Guess that means getting my ass up at 6am like normal people. >.< Can't complain too much, though, cause I need the work! Hopefully I'll be able to just work nights though. lol I hate this morning bullshit. There's a reason none of my classes ever start before 1pm, and 3 outta 4 start at 6pm! I dread when that mythical "real" job comes through once I'm a good enough animator and it's on to that 9-5 type shit. Ah, the sacrifices we make!


Someone start an animation studio with odd hours...you got 1.5-2 years before I graduate. Get to crackin!

Damn, 6 a.m. is killer. Orse thing I had was waking up at 5 a.m. to get to a 6:3 class. Big mistake signing up for that one. Luckily I've only got 1 class for the first 8 weeks of this semester, at 6 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays. I stay up all night with no worry of oversleeping. I'm takin' all afternoon and night classes, next semester. But like you said, it's work. I gots to get up, gt out, and get some work.

 

:smt009sound all too familiar...fighting over what? stuff? money? hopefully she has a will and everything goes smoothly...if not, get out your video camera and tape all the drama and then show it to the family later so they can see how awful they acted

 

hour + 20 minutes to get to your job...i'm copying this and sending it to my girls that complain about having to drive 20-30 miles to make 20.00 an hour...

I'd drive 100 miles both ways to make that much..if I had a car. lol

Sadly had to reschedule my orientation...it's cool cause it happens every saturday, but it was annoying cause I wanted to start working thursday or friday, and now it's pushed back til next week. But i had to take care of some sudden crap at school that might have otherwise caused me to have to miss one or two classes on monday.


good news all around, though, cause it turns out that not only was it mostly concerning positive changes in my financial plan (when I thought it was negative...woo, what a relief!) but the lady who helped me in the financial office gave me some hope that my sticky loan situation may be able to resolve itself with a simple change in my schedule come january.

That was -such- good news, omg. Might make me have to go to school an extra quarter, though. As it stands right now, I have officially 7 left...so I'm due to graduate June/July of 2011. If I have to take an extra quarter that'll put me at September of 2011. No biggie, especially if it helps my financial situation! Especially considering it will leave me with a small quarter (only a few classes) which will leave me more time to concentrate on (hopefully) working in the field I'm studying while finishing up school.

Oh, and thanks to our President, I got a brand new grant plus extra money on my Pell. Criticize Obama all you want, he at least tried to help some of the people who actually fricken need it in this country!

 

Yeah, it's pretty much over money. My grandma had hella of it. My cousin is flying out to LA right now,and he's gonna raise all kinds of hell when he gets down there. He was telling me, our grandma had a big stash of cash, and the aunt that got left out of the will spent it all. Not sure how long ago it was, though. I'm wonder how stupid my family is gonna act.

 

No amount of money can buy dignity, manners, respect and maturity. I hope you don't get swept up in all the bullsh*t Brotha Ajax.
