We have a home gym, well it was here when I moved in. The only addition I have made to it is a hand bike. At first hubby was skeptical, now he loves it. Uses it daily.

I also just purchased a little pouch to hold the Nike+ fob so I can use it with my iPod to log runs and walks.

Please elaborate fly what kinds of benefits do you get from the hand bike? I see real ones on the streets here. They look like hard work.

They are an aerobic machine like a regular stationary bike, but they work your arms, shoulders, back and sides (core). I have been a big believer in them since I hurt my hip and used one at the YMCA.

It really tones up your upper body, something most of us ladies need as we generally dont exercise ours like men do. As you are peddling with your arms, your torso is twisting side to side so it really helps define your waist.

My home gym is pretty basic:
    Squat rack
    Roman chair for hyper-extensions
    Bench
    Elite rings
    Resistance band
265 pounds of weight plates plus bar
    Dip attachments

Not having enough space is an issue. I live on the 2nd floor, so I also have to be careful not to drop weights after doing something like dead lifts.

Here's what it looks like all stored away:

I don't have those, but I do have push-up bars. I actually dug them out of my equipment graveyard (u never know when u'll want to use something), for use with my weighted vest. The vest itself is kind of bulky, and the bars raise your position, so you have room for the vest when going down. I just wasn't getting a wide enough range of motion without them.

On another note, I've seen something on tv for Iso7. It's like a resistance band, on steroids.

for 30 bucks, it's fairly cheap and may be useful, if you need a specific piece for your arsenal.

I never really done isometric workouts..so maybe I'll look into snagging one and letting you know how it works.

well it's all based on isometrics

i like how they show some random cut-up dude with their product, like it will have you looking like that tho....for like a few minutes a day

    lol

for me, part of working out for hours at a time, is used to give me a sense of reward and new found toughness

Banging out a workout after a long day at work, makes me feel like i'm on top of the world....I wouldn't get that from some rinky dink 5 minute a day shit.

I guess some people want all the physical benefits of grueling workouts, without the hard work lol
