  1. Of course it will vary if you're eating on WHAT you're eating, but let's say, lunch/dinner is at least an hour away, maybe 2....

For me? Let's just say a certain UB40 song comes to mind... :)

All autumn / winter i've been partaking in a cheeky glass or two of shiraz or a pinot. If I really want to treat myself its the Box Stallion 2006 Tempranillo...ahhh heaven.

Now that we're in spring & summer is on its way i'll be living on Sauvignon Blanc, mainly the Box Stallion 2008, and trying to ignite my love of chardonnay again with the Port Phillip Estate 2006. :D

I do love my wines :smt054

Well with fish i will choose white wine and most of the pasta dishes with exeption of few that you can have red wine.
red meat always with a nice red wine .
pork and chicken white wine but for me i will take red
reason is i prefer sweet red wine :)

    Edit

oh forgot to add that i hate when people put red wine in the fridge just a nice room tempreture is best .. usualy i leave it to get more warm if someone give me red wine cold from the fridge :p

i love a great pork loin with white or red, but i love to eat just a big steak with salad and a pinot noir or a cabernet

a good pinot gris is great too

  8. Just to remind, this thread is for the wines you drink WITHOUT food, but I agree - no steak is complete without a nice red.

i never heard of that sort of wine, unless you mean wine coolers. Wine has always been drank with food, its how it is made and how it is drank.

i love the california wines they have surpassed alot of the European wines. I love new york wines as well, chileans, australians and south africans too

  12. Do you not drink it at parties where there may be only small nibbles available? Or late on a Sunday afternoon at a pavement cafe?

Love red wines but will drink most. One of my current favs is brachetto d'acqui, a sparkling red from Italy. Nice on a hot summer day.

I have not developed a taste for red wine. I've tried all different types, different brands, different cost, it just doesn't taste good to me. :smt012

So, when I drink wine, it's white. I love reislings, pinot grigio, and some chardonnays mostly.
