True love is so rare and worth cherishing. It is no wonder you want to stay all your life with the person you love with all your heart. Today, trust in marriage is fast depleting because both parties are more interested in themselves than in pleasing each other. If you happen to be of a different mindset and would not mind going that extra step to ask your beloved to be with you, you should propose her//him immediately when you believe you are ready.

A marriage proposal can become the most memorable event in your and the other person’s life. It is necessary that you are absolutely sure that the person you are proposing to says ‘yes’ when you propose or else it will lead to disappointment. At the same time ensure that you are not late in proposing.

A memorable proposal will always be the one which is interesting, creative and innovative. You should ensure that the person you are proposing to enjoys this event thoroughly and that you are paying complete attention to this person. There are so many ways you can propose to a person, make him/her feel wanted and welcomed into your life forever. Check out some of these very interesting and innovative ways for proposingropose

1) Book: This is one of the most complimentary methods of proposing to someone. If your sweetheart is an avid reader or literary genius, you can check out this unique option. This book is especially fruitful if your relationship has been a long one. You can bring up unique and happy memories of your relationship. You can write about this person in detail and reasons why you value him/her so much. Write the book yourself or get it written from a professional writer. Publish a single copy and present it to your beloved with the proposal on the last page.


2) Garden: If you love gardening and your beloved loves flowers, this is an ideal and a very touching way to propose. However, this method requires you to plan out your garden meticulously. I'd go for # 1, 2, 9. I wouldn't like my man to propose me in a video or with anonymous emails :-S.

When I was in Austria for a weekend, me and my friend were walking and we saw a family on a chairot with the horse (you know, the ones tourists can go on). I was surprised to hear my friend say that if he ever will propose to a woman, he would propose her on a chariot. All that I thought was "I'm happy you won't propose me!!!!". That made me think about how different people is though. Probably another woman would find it the most romantic thing ever.

A girl I know was proposed at the restaurant. He went on his knees and proposed her while they were sitting at the table at dinner. She was too embarassed and was like "WDF are you doing?" LOL.

And -for the married/divorced women- how have you been proposed? I'm very curious to know!!!

 

I would like the boat option or the adventure one (after a good climb, he proposes). The restaurant is too normal for me, lol.

My former husband proposed on the football field where we had met, he'd remembered the spot where I first said hello to him and got onto one knee there. It may not sound romantic but I thought it was great! (I was the trainer and he was a coach - that's why we'd met there).

 

I would like 1,4,7 with flowers and cards, no emails and 10..

My first marriage proposal wasn´t that romantic, it was more, let´s do it on the phone..

I also never married in a church..

I was living and working illiegal in Switzerland at this time and already longer before. I had enough from these low salaries in Germany. In Switzerland you were able to earn 5-10 times more. But sometimes the immigration authorities caught me, so we were forced to marry immediatly or I had to leave and so we married.

 

C,that is bad but I hope you have Swiss citizenship.

 

Soulthinker, that all happened around 15 yrs ago..and it was also not really a problem.. It was just the decision to make, if we marry or not. I am living since 1992 in switzerland..The citizenship isn´t really interesting, but for sure, since 1995 I have unlinited permission, like the green card in USA.

Now, the EU Members can work and live wherever they want in europe, included switzerland.

 

BTW, since 01.January 2009, it is possible to be married to different partners in Germany...I don´t know, if anybody heard about...

 

that is very interesting...perhaps we could send the germans the whole state of utah...something tells me that the germans do this in a very fashion forward...contemporary manner unlike what is going on here in the states with these colonies of people wearing long plaid dresses and bonnets as if it was still the early 1900s

My husband proposed on Valentine's Day. He set up the computer with one of those roaring-fire screen savers, put on some Seal, and then called me into the room where I found him on bended knee. It was perfect.
