Komo you hit it on the head! I have not seen HSM but I have the feeling the girls don't talk about Corbin Bleu. I doubt there are any IR dating on that show.

I'm pleased you take the cause Kid. Homeboys should have good looking women of all shades and nationalities but, don't hold your breath. Unless you are livin large enough to make film with IR casts(BM/WW),the mainstream will just give us African-geldings.

I agree with you on this to a certain extent & actually the young teenage white dudes with long hair & girlie looks have always been the rage in this culture because that's what the young white girls like initially. But in all fairness to Miley Cirus I did see & hear her give props to Conner Cruise
    [IMG]
the black adopted son of Tom Cruise during a Teen Choice Awards interview. I'm not saying that what she said about him was all that but for some reason later on in her career as with some of these other white starlets, I could see her dipping in black before she's through. After all who would have thought when they first started out that Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, & Paris Hilton would eventually do black either.

Miley shoud talk the talk not, walk the walk. Don't expect those young Black males getting more famous than their white counterparts anytime soon.

Hey, now. I don't think you can blame these girls for who gets hyped as the next teen thing. Those choices are made based on a lot of variables, including what producers think parents (who often pay for stuff) will approve of.

I remember growing up, and the lead guy in every heartthrob show was always someone pasty and bland & boring. I never liked the lead guy. I never liked the guy that they put the canned "wooo" track on for whenever he came on stage. Some of the girls I knew did, but it was always the dumbest, most easily lead ones who went for that.

If shows that catered to young girls actually showed them what turned them on, Clark & Lex would have been a couple on Smallville, and Chloe & Lana would have been fighting over Pete.

When her imdb says of "african american" decent, are we sure it's black african? Also, there's nothing wrong with feeling a conection to one side of your culture more than another. That usually has to do with a person's upbringing.

Well...what about Alicia Keys, Mariah Carey and Noemie Lenoir. They all are biracial and date (or are married to) brothas.

Sheeit, I remember one day on Montell some girl was ashamed to be seen with her Black Father because she was trying to pass and to be honest with you, if you had never told me she was bi-racial and her Father was Black (About Medium Shade) I wouldn't have believed you.

But some Black people have natural Blue Eyes even as adults so anything is possible...

Look at Rashida Jones, if you didn't know her father was Quincy Jones would you think she was mixed/bi-racial?

In America we play by the "One Drop Rule" and that's unfortunate, but its reality. By the way the Riech Wing wants to talk about Obama you would think his mother wasn't White. As I said, she was an outspoken woman and I wish she was alive, she would put these racist assholes in their place and all they could say she was a Nigga Lover and all she would say, "Dayum Skippy"

Some women are able to avoid it. If your father doesn't have any overt Black features then it less of an issue if your trying to pass as completely White. But also remember the world is a slightly different place and people aren't really trying to point out she's bi-racial unless maybe your on racist site.

I'd be down for a Bi-Racial Chick, but like most things, we mostly see the attractive ones, there a TON of ugly women, bi-racial too.

Many great points. I checked Gossip Girl's first ep. awhile back and just wasn't interested in the backstabbing kiddy drama. But it never occurred to me that girlie was mixed. Of course, Hollyweird wouldn't advertise such a thing and her role was masked by the other main stars. Now she's cute, but she looks like just another white girl to me. Oh sure, she's "mixed." But that seems to be par for the course in H-town these days, matching them with some clean cut white boy to make some hip couple. And on this site, I'd be a hypocrite to be bothered by the result of such an IR union when I push for bm/ww all the time.

True. I found out on a hip/hop forum that she was his baby momma. Alot bruthas responded with, "Huh...?" But that's news about her being mixed. That never occurred to me. Then again, who walking down the street would mistake her for white???

    Wikipedia and IMBD say

Amber Rose (born October 21, 1985) is an American model, socialite and former exotic dancer, best known for her relationship with musician Kanye West. Her mother is of Cape Verdean descent & her father is of Italian descent.

    Cape Verde's races:

Around 71 percent of the population is Creole of mixed black African and Portuguese descent. The remainder of the population is mostly black Africans, with a small number of whites. The European men who colonized Cape Verde did not usually bring wives or families with them. As female African slaves were brought to the islands, inter-marriages occurred.[9]
