Ive definately seen my fair share of irational hypocrisy dealing with this issue.

 

OMG. I was critized for calling it like it was . On the blackplanet forum I called it the angry bw thang and brothas got mad. But you guys see it for what it is. they (bw) get angry.

a guy said it best " bw women treat you like the DMV . the dmv is the only place where you can get you drivers license thus you have no where to go and they can give you bad service.

In that they (BW) feel they should have all the business and treat you like crap. But when you take your business somewhere else they feel the competition. thus they have to step up. they dont want to step up. they want to treat us like crap.

Please note NOT ALL BW are like that. just the ones who are mad at you for dating outside the box.

I always say go where you get good customer service and be a repeat customer

 

Oh blacks girls can get men of other races. The problem is that 45% don't want them, 45% are too scared to ask them out and the remaining 10% have to fight for the few sistas that actually want WM. Black women don't really trust white men outside of business...(the plethora of sistahs I know anyway).

Black women are not "mad" anymore than brothas are "mad" when it comes to dealing with WM in education, employment etc. Besides that, black women AND black men are the least likely of any minority to date and marry outside their race.

WW and WM are just as likely (sometimes more likely) to give crap of BM/WW dating as BW....I"m all for IR but all this sista bashing isn't productive. If you plan on being with a brotha...understand that your daughters will be black women...I don't think they'd appreciate these characterizations.

 

That is no different than me saying that white women are mad because white men are dating east asian women....i'm guessing that it isn't entirely true.

It is a chicken or egg question; perceiving black women as angry about IR means you are more inclined to notice the relative few who care enough to become upset.

Your daughter is bi-racial but our society determines how you are viewed. Barack Obama is bi-racial and he's proud of his white mother...but he also knows that no one would consider him anything but black unless he told them so. I don't think it's right...it's just the way it is...which will change when there are more bi-racial children...so many that they must be warranted their own identity.

That's great if your (imaginary) daughter wants to identify as biracial but she doesn't speak for all black/white mixed people. People should be allowed to identify themselves anyway they want.

Around the turn of the last century, Italians weren't even considered "white." LOL.

 

If a White man has a child from a woman except Black it is considered White. The privilege of being White does not extend to a biracial person of Black blood.

 

Sounds like her daughter cannot pass for white and is mistaken for black so this causes a great deal of anxiety for them both.
