Question: How do you get over a heart attack inducing phone bill?.Also ,what was your highest phone bill EVER??.. Mine: 200 bucks this past month How am I getting over it? Im just spending way more money; that way I can deceive myself into believing Im just a big cash waster and would have wasted that 200 bucks on something else anyways……..fuck man…I will spend at least 4 bills this weekend and hopefully set my soul free.
~$800. Before moving to Florida from Chicago, I ordered a new phone with a FL extension so that I wouldn't scare away potential employers who were looking to hire someone local. I had the phone one week before moving to FL... that was one week of full on roaming charges. $200 was about my average until T-Mobile offered me a new unlimited minutes plan for being a loyal customer. Aside from only a few people, I HATE talking on the phone... I'd much prefer text messaging. My overage charges was usually caused by work conversations.... which are not reimbursed.
Ouch! That hurts! I have an Everything Unlimited Plan from Sprint, which is (with taxes) about $110 for unlimited texts, calls and data. Thank goodness, or my bill would be astronomical. I LOVE texting! That alone would be an extra $100 a month!
well not much you can do only is next time you learn to be more careful with the phone few year ago i had a big phone bill i had call few times overseas and the bill came around 900AUD i felt so bad for a while glad now there are more you can choose and the bill are cheap i have a card that i call overseas and its very cheap few cents a min and the good is i call call from any phone as already is paid before ... i put usualy 20AUD everytime and last me for nonths the rest of my calls not much i hardly use my mobile.
I'm about at $110 - $120 right now. I have unlimited texting, unlimited calls and data plan. Data was required by my carrier, as I have the Google G1 Android phone which is pretty much useless without.
I pay 47.50/mo for unlimited calling and texting...and would also be unlimited picture and video messaging, as well, but i have a cheapo phone with no camera. No contracts, either.
Yeah, I'm on pay as you go especially to avoid nasty phone bill surprises. Unfortunately this means that I never have credit, too broke to buy it My boyfriend got a £550 phone bill the other month, not technically his fault. He got in a fight (ahem) and ended up losing his phone. It's a piece of shit so he thought nothing of it and didn't cancel it, so two weeks later he gets a phonebill charging him £550 for phonecalls to Turkey.
When I got the first bill for my first cellular phone (way back in 1932!), I damn near had a conniption. That bill was in the neighborhood of $320. These were the times where carriers offered no "all you can eat" plans. You paid for the phone, access to the network (monthly fee) and minutes which in those days were easily $.25 per minute. Imagine receiving such a bill while working a minimum wage job.
I think the worst was maybe close to $400 but never since that one have I had one even close to that amount.
I pay $60/month for unlimited local and long distance, unlimited text messaging, unlimited mobile internet etc. It's not one of the main carriers and I found out the hard way that it doesn't work in rural areas (learned this when going to the Big XII leadership conference at the University of Kansas in February). However, going to Florida...even in the smaller towns like Samsula and Port Orange...just being in proximity to a larger city (Orlando)...the phone still worked fine.
When I first moved to Dubai I had no internet so the only way I could talk to my ex was via my cell phone. That lasted for about 1 1/2 months. The phone bill for the first month was about $1000.00. Maybe a smidge more. We would start talking, forget how long we had been on the phone and then I would run out of credit and get cut off. LOL He would call back and we would talk for another hour or so. I was so glad to get internet and Skype.
I have a better cell phone question for you. Would y'all please turn them shits off when you go to the movies? Thanks in advance.
Well the worst Mobile phone bill i've had was £190 for 1! month, never did it again after that. I now have 3 mobiles all on different networks my main one is contract but the other 2 are pay as you go, so having orange, T mobile and 02 i can usually make calls for free as long as they are on one of those 3 networks. Lol they are also good for pimping as my T mobile is what I call my bitch phone. The worse Landline bill i've had was £320 but that was for three months of use, so not so bad really. I tend to be careful now, I have not had such high bills since, could have bought something really fabulous with that money, so I berated myself for it.
OH! One of my pet pieves... even worse are the ones that acctually ANSWERS and have a dialogue.. Wha???!!!!
Exactly and usually when you are really caught up in the movie and right into it, and then ring ring ring..... "hello"..... Not good.
yep - and they wisper, thinking noone will hear??? "HELLOOOOO, your phone just rang, that kinda alerted us and, we can all hear your theater wispering"..... doofus
i apologise profusly for disturbing the film, lol if i go to the cinema during the day on a school day i put my phone on vibrate and if it goes off i sneak a peek at the caller id and sometimes have to answer cos if my wee girls school call me they expect you to get to the school within 20 minutes if ur a local parent but i refuse to sit home all day in the off chance she gets ill
