Elisabeth Rohm is stunning! I didn't know anything about her until I read about her and Maxwell on this Forum. And with her being 30 years old, she certainly goes against the grain of comments I've read on this site about the white woman's aging process. 8)

I like Maxwell as a singer even though I don't listen to much r&b. With Maxwell being of Puerto Rican heritage, it's refreshing to see that he's being accepted as a brother on this site. There has been a disturbing trend on wwbm.com where some bm here have a tendency to trash other minorities, even if that person happens to be a black Latin. I wish the best for Maxwell and Ms. Rohm because you know that the media is going to be waiting for something to go wrong. Let's just hope that brother Maxwell is serious about her and isn't just trying to dispel some nagging rumors.

We were talking about women over 40. Let's see how she looks in 10 years.

 

Well, according to some of the comments I've read, white women start looking bad at age 25. And unless some tragic accident happens, Elisabeth Rohm will still be gorgeous 10 years from today. But I'm not trying to turn this into an aging woman thread. Just making an observation. I wish her and Max well.

I dont know anything about Hip Hop or R&B music or culture--is Maxwell, black or latino, Mosiah??

If he is black and peurto rican why wouldnt he be a Brotha? half of Peurto Ricans are of African heritage thus they are black.

also, white women dont go dont hill after age 25, ALL people AGE and black women do as bad or worse of a job of aging as any white woman in the US or world--people need to do some real observations in the world and stop the pontification on what they think things are.

 

I would think he is a black Latino just like Sammy Sosa, Felix Trinidad, Rosario Dawson, Alfonso Ribeiro, Christina Milian, Pele, Mario Rivera (jazz musician), Roberto Clemente and Gina Torres (Lawrence Fishburne's wifey). I don't want to throw this thread off course, so I might start one about black Latinos instead of messing up this thread.

I never thought of Maxwell as a non-brotha because of his heritage, nor do I recall anyone else saying so...

and, many white women use cosmetic products and surgery to keep their youthful look here in the states, so many of them do not age well. This is an observation, not a stereotype. It doesn't mean that all white women age badly, or are all ugly when they are old either.

 

True. 30 isn't old, but 40 isn't old either. Middle-aged maybe...

Old is when you reach 50 or so, but I have seen men and women who are old, but don't look old, so it depends on what you perceive old to be.

 

Maxwell is not half Puerto Rican. He is half Black and half Jewish. His mother was the actress on the jeffersons that played the nieghbor who was married toa White man and His father was her lawyer.

 

I think you might be confusing Maxwell with Lenny Kravitz, Titan33. Here are photos of the two: Maxwell is on the left and Lenny is on the right.

And here are a few websites that mention Maxwell's Puerto Rican heritage. Why do I keep pointing out that Maxwell is of Puerto Rican descent? Because many people never knew it; they thought he was black American. And there are some people who don't like Latinos who probably wouldn't like for you to know that since he's considered a sex symbol and women of all races go crazy over him.

titan sorry you are wrong, Lenny Kravitz's mother, Roxie Roker, played on the Jeffersons as one half of the Interracial couple--Lenny Kravitz is half white(jewish religion/culture) and half black.

where did you grow up? everyone I thought knew that--he was married to Lisa Bonet of the Cosby show.

 

There are actually pictures of the two of them at an MTV awards ceremony. They are acutally posted on a website dedicated to her called Lis-Rohm.net If there was any doubt about this sweet white girl being into Maxwell at the time these pictures put that argument to rest. I've had an incredible crush on this girl for years. Unfortunately all I can do is congratulate the brothas on taking another gorgeous woman.

Congratulations to Elisabeth Rohm and Partner Ron Wooster on the safe arrival of their first baby. Easton August Anthony arrived yesterday afternoon in Los Angeles, Elisabeth’s publicist Tina Malhotra told The Associated Press today.
Easton’s name came to Elisabeth in a dream, and Anthony is Ron’s “other surname.”
