Geez! Some people are really mentally sick. One IR commercial and the sky is falling. I can't imagine EVER getting bent out of shape over seeing a WM/BF couple. They need to be sent to a psychiatric ward.

 

And now they don't want to give money to MS? Is Apple going to be any better? Or most Linux distributions? Maybe they will want to work on the Klanux Linux distribution.

 

I mean, seriously. You cannot post anything on the Internet with a picture of a black person, or anything to do with a black person on news and video sites without some nuts posting vitriol. That is a sad fact. That is something I will never be able to understand. For one thing, the vast, vast majority of WW are with WM anyway. It's not like they have a lot of competition with BM. Sometimes, you just need to let it go.

I was really happy when i first saw this commercial. It breaks so many stereotypes. Number one, the girl is pretty. And number two, they're married (saw the ring on her finger). So any racist out there who thinks black guys can't land pretty ww, and any racist who thinks ww and bm are together only for sex, and not in it for the long haul, can take this one to the bank.

 

Why are you spending time on racist site?

It's probably my favorite commercial of all time. I was so happy when I first saw it!!! :smt008

 

I saw the commerical the other day and I wanted to see it again, so I googled it. And what do you know, the first thing that popped up was racist site discussing the commerical. I thought wow they don't waste no time bashing anything with black men/white women.lol Anywho, I love the commerical, its a bold and much needed move for Windows to make. Like Bryant said, the couple in the commerical seem to be married and both are attractive and not overweight. Basically squashing all those ignorant sterotypes about BM/WW relationships.

 

Is this a real couple? They seem real, they way they look at the camera. She's hot and he's a good looking guy.

racist site isn't worried about racial purity when its a white guy and some Asian woman in a commercial. It doesn't seem to be protesting Hollywood either with white male/black female pairings. Which is why I say we must always fight that one-sided representation because there is scum out there who want to forever keep it that way.

Oh, and of course it probably pisses off people even more that the couple spwaned a son. Its more acceptable to those folks when the child is a daughter.

 

I saw the very end of this commercial when it first came out, but am happy it's out nonetheless. I was wondering if those computer people would put ANY smart black people on shown purchasing a pc. The imagery on tv generally doesn't show much of blacks being computer literate. But I should say for note just to save this video 'cause i have a funny feeling it won't play too many more times nationally.

As for racist site, it's interesting and disturbing that there are a group of white people out there sitting around in their basements waiting around scanning for the next bit of imagery involving black people, whether it be our own culture or interracial. You'd think these people have other better things to do with their time than making sure black men stay away from white women, regardless of how plain-jane the female is. But Jamal's dead on. When that insurance company put out that commercial with the wm/aw couple in bed, I heard no virtual complaints anywhere. Or when some sistah is in one of these obscure commercials (insurance, cable, etc.) with a white male, no real outrage there either. Those double standards do need to be kept note of.

 

This is in a way easing into breaking racial barriers in american commercials, because I don't know if ya'll remember or not but there
were plenty of IR european commercials in europe, but not so much here.

That Italian commercial is waaaayy to provocative for many people in the US.

As I type this on an Apple computer I give my respect to Microsoft, but as I read the Youtube comments there is so much work to be done spreading racial equality.

As for going to the racist site site, everyone know what they think. Why go to a site where they are sworn to the destruction of black people.

If you like the ad send a letter to Microsoft telling them so. I am sure they are getting plenty from the other side. Remember OUR president is from an interracial union.
