I usually run with a Camelbak hydration pack. I filled it up (2 liters I think) and went through the whole thing during a 3 hour run/walk through the park. When I lift, I don't drink as much, but damn that cardio is a beast.

    lol

You ain't kiddin' homie...that might be something worth investing in. I tend to be a heavy perspirer so that one hour of working out makes me look as if I've spent 3 hrs outside in full pads in one of Jimmy Johnson's "Asthma Fields"....any other hydration tips between workouts?

    loL@asthma fields...

people do die from football practice, but that's very rare...

it is however, a testament to how rigorous football training is..

I remember thinking I was going to die from the obstacle course, during high school tryouts, let alone Jim Johnson NFL shit..

as for hydration tips between workouts, you don't want to tank too much on fluid, because that may make gravity work against you, depending on what you plan on doing. However, you want to get enough in you, so that you can keep going.

Moderation is key. If you plan on jogging, just get a cheap camelbak-type system, that straps to your back. I've seen guys in the Army doing that, so that kind of hipped me to that. Better than LBEs with canteens, or a water-bottle.

I do remember reading about hydration with respect to water, in Muscle and Fitness a few months back, so don't take what I wrote as the gospel. There is always something better to do, so I would look at other sources for hydration tips.

    My little disclaimer.

    :)

Everything's becoming so damn sophisticated...it's like a science.

I don't have any impressive progress to report about..a while ago I had started walking more. Now yesterday and today I thought I'd take it to the next stop and job.Did a 5 minutes arm,leg and back stretching before the jogging, then about 15-20 minutes jogging(for the start I thought that may work),and then 5 minutes of stretching again.
My legs are killing me now but I'm happy because I know it will help me toning my body.
I also started getting back to healthier food.Bought low fat yogurt, strawberries, water melons instead of pizza, and instead of coke, and other sodas rather flavored water aka water with just a little touch of berries.
Maybe soon I will recognize an improvement in how toned my body is.I may then post a photo.Lol

Listen to you body. They want to push you to make you work hard and not give up but if it's too much you won't stick to it. I set mini goals for myself like today......I am going to do 15 minutes and then by next week 20 and so on.

Beyoutiful sounds like you are doing great. :)

Hehe now I'm back at home(my last post in this thread I wrote from my ex bf's house). My village is an entire hill. There's hardly any straight ways.Just either up or down. The only straight way is in the forest all the way on top of the hill where I cannot jog yet.Lol. So I walk up there in walking speed(15-20 minutes),then do about 15 minutes jogging now(sometimes I need 2 breaks of 1 minute in that I slow down a little and just walk. But NEVER stop moving at all),and after that walking back home.Lol.
It sucks a little because walking up that big hill makes me tired a littlr already so my condition for jogging is no more that good.
I still wanna keep trying and see whether in time it becomes easier for me and I can add some time to it :)

Great job to everyone in the thread. You guys gave me the motivation to keep going.

I'm reporting in after finally reaching my goal weight. It took much longer than I thought it would. Now, I'm going for more. I'd like to reach 185 by January 1st, 2010.

Yep she is right Nyx or if it's too much doing it all at once break up the time, do 7 and a half minutes get on the bike for a bit then go back to the cross trainers and do another 7 and a half, it works for me I do 10 on the bike to warm myself up then 10 on the cross trainer then on to the weights then I come back and do 15 on the cross, doing a shorter amount at first helps me to get it done.
