L'Oreal? Say it Ain't So

actually that line of thinking as far as age and size is very old school especially here in the states...with the majority of the cosmetic consumers with money being in the baby boomers age range 40-60 and another large group in their late 20s - 30s concerned with anti-aging products...who are you going to buy from? a young girl 18-22 that doesn't even have a wrinkle...no way...the consumer is much more ingredient savvy today than they were even 10 years ago...they want someone that knows something and they also do not want to be intimidated by the sales person so the very young...too beautiful...too thin or perfect don't relate as well to the average consumer of cosmetics...

even the airlines have given up on their restrictions...not that i think this is an entirely good thing...the last flight i took over the weekend had a woman flight attendant that did not speak proper english and it was obvious that her reading comprehension was more than likely below standard GED testing...she was also overweight...and just not well put together...this was on a United flight...i was actually shocked...

i do marvel at how absolutely beautiful the asian flight attendants look...they are all the same height, weight and of equal beauty...they all wear their hair the same way...it is amazing to see...

After seeing that in the hater site post, I continued to read on, as they did back their story up, with a reference to the other news site.

it's not hard to believe that flagrant racism like that still exists, whether it's coming from hater site or Manny Fresh around the way

 

The weight or height thing wouldn't disturb me during a flight.I mean why should not so pretty people whose weight isn't ideal according to the BMI system not be allowed to be a flight attendent? However not speaking English is not a good thing.I remember once I took a plane of the airline ALITALIA(they suck anyway cos they lose my luggage every time.Lol) and none of those flight attendents spoke acceptable English or German.I don't know how their Italian was since I don't speak it but I would have had some serious problems if complications had occured during the flight

 

That's true.About age and body type discrimination.. I think some enterprises could make more money if they actually thought outside the box and advertised with regular people so those who watch can relate and then feel more likely to buy it. I mean who says you're ugly just cos u're not between size 4 and 10 or not a young hopper no more?!?!

 

considering all the planes that have gone down recently, i want a flight attendent that is sharp...before departure when she came on the intercom to give her message it was clear that she was having trouble reading the script...her voice was not clear and she did not speak proper english...all the passengers were looking around at each other with puzzled looks...when she came through the cabin to shut all of the overhead bins all eyes were on her...i really don't have a problem with someone being overweight especially if they are well put together...but i could tell how unfit she was by her breathing...it was just the wrong package...if i am on a plane i feel that not only can i get myself off the plane but i am also capable of helping others...i don't want to have to help the flight attendent off of a plane as well...

 

Argh that sucks. There's thin people who aren't well in shape and bigger people who are.From weight you can never tell for sure. As a flight attendent a certain degree of fitness would be good.I agree
