15 things you did not know about me

Im a teacher. Lots of vacation and I only teach sumer school 12 hours a week and that is extra $$$. But I have been doing it a LONG time so I get paid well for what I do

 

1. I love reading, it's my favorite hobby.

2. My great grandfather was Scottish.

3. I am a vegan and strongly pro-animal rights (not to be confused with animal welfare).

4. I have a deep passion and need for justice, it matters more to me than my own life.

5. I have the deepest love for African people, I would do anything for them.

6. I developed ocd/social anxiety in high school (although the ocd has improved since I became a vegan) as a result of some bad experiences, this has a lot to do with my need for justice.

7. I procrastinate too much, it frightens me how little control I have over this.

8. In addition to being a vegan, I'm a 'health nut'. I try to exercise daily, get enough sleep, eat healthy etc.

9. For health and environmental reasons, I haven't had a warm/hot shower since November of 2006. For the past 2 + years, I've taken nothing but jet cold showers and I don't plan on ever stopping.

10. My favorite color is blue.

11. I love '70s Black movies and sitcoms as well as horror and science fiction (except for the low-budget stuff).

12. I've had my cat since I was 10 (she's 12).

13. I am an atheist and a materialist.

14. My favorite novel is Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe.

15. My favorite author is Octavia Butler.

 

1. I have always wanted to fly, even as a kid I knew I loved airplanes.

2. I have lived in 3 countries, 10 states, and visited over 30 countries.

3. I have multiple patents to my name. 3 of which I have successfully sold.

4. I am a complete adrenaline junky. Love scary movies, amusement parks, acrobatic flying, etc.

5. I have a small aversion to live fish. They creep me out a little and I whole heartedly dislike fish with teeth. Oh but I will eat those little bitches as long as they are headless.

this is fun and nice for me to get to know everyone who has come while I have been hiatus.....here are mine:


1) Had my girl stuffed pierce and my belly, took them out when I had my first pregnancy, contemplating piercing them again.

2) Was a punk rocker in high school

3) Skipped my senior year and went to college a year early

4) I am a natural red head but I like to highlight it blonde

5) I have three tattoos, 1 inside my lip

6) According to DH, I’m a total freak – he loves it – so I guess that is a good thing

7) Became Catholic in my late 20s – not a very good one though

8) Used to live outside NYC, in Westchester, would move back in a heartbeat if hubby was willing

9) My husband almost died two years ago due to an incompetent doctor. He was in a coma for 2wks, the hospital for a month.

10) My favorite color is smokey grey

11) I had a turbulent childhood – my parents are a little nuts

12) I’ve dated one other bm besides my husband and I had to choose b/t them. I still wonder about the other guy, we had intense chemistry

13) I don’t think I would ever date a wm again

14) I get terrible migraines. I just got out of the hospital for them and finally, I think I have them under control – YES!!

15) I can’t believe I revealed 15 things about myself, I am a pretty intensely private person

1. When I eat M & M's, I have to color coordinate them before I eat them.
2. I love to sing, especially to my niece.
3. The theme in my bedroom all through high school was EVERYTHING Kentucky Wildcats.
4. Black pepper burns my tongue and makes my throat itch.
5. I haven't touched a cigarette in about 3 weeks.
6. My favorite color is purple.
7. I'm a great listener.
8. One of my favorite people in the whole world, is Lord Something Jasisisee.
9. I just returned home from a week at the campground.
10. I always make my man's plate at dinner time.
11. I love classic music of all genres.

1- I'm near to tears when Gandalf shows up and saves the day at Helms Deep (LOTR)

2- I can pretty much find my way anywhere with half assed directions.

3- I have sucessfully managed to adapt the official London driving face (blank face, while cutting in.)

4- My friends seem to get jealous if I spend more time with other friends.

The green ones are good. When my nephew was little, he would only eat the green ones. You couldn't get him to eat any of the other colors. Maybe that's why I started favoring blue. Hmmmmm.
