    Not really.

He won't be enough to get them a ring.

It'll be interesting to see what trades the Celtics make...and who the Magic acquire after Turkoglu leaves in free agency.

The Cavs should be better, but this deal was made for next summer. Shaq's deal is up and that frees up over 20 M to sign a marquee free agentin the summer of 2010. 2010...THE MOTHER LOAD OF ALL FREE AGENT CLASSES !!!

I am probably the biggest Shaq fan around, but this trade doesn't necessarily guarantee Cleveland a title. This makes them match up a little better with Orlando, but the advantage they had over Boston is now gone. I'm a Celtics fan, but i'm not just saying that as a homer. Cleveland gave Boston matchup problems because of their outside shooting, and floor spacing with Ilgauskus. They were also a very good pick and roll defensive team. Now with Shaq, who is probably the worst pick and roll defender in the league, and who is not a floor spacer, they just made themselves a little easier to defend.

Does this trade make them a better matchup for Orlando? Yes. Does this trade take away all the advantages they had over Boston? Yes. This should be interesting.

I think the Spurs getting Richard Jefferson is going to make more of an impact than Shaq to Cleveland.

I'd have to say I agree, Bryant. This trade, which supposedly fixes the Cavs' pivot problems, does no such thing in my opinion. But we'll see.

It's a good thing for the Cavs to get Shaq, but they still need more. They could use another big man

Past his prime. If it was the 3-peat era Shaq, it could be dangerous, but right now, naw. Shaq, you've had your run, bro. But if he can get another ring, I'll be happy.

Hee! My son is excited because both of our fav players will be on the same team now. I'm pleased, too.

I believe Lebron will ultimately have a better chance winning in Cleveland than he would in New York. The Knicks are a horrible franchise right now. They make bad draft choices and sign piss-poor free agents. Not a lot to build on in New York right now.

    We'll see.
