Well most American men you may meet in Germany keep their place quite clean because they're in the military and they're strict about that. Those that live off base don't have any room or house check-up's and therefore don't really clean up too much at all.Lol.
Really, I must say that I will never understand, how each other loving people can have trouble because of cleaning up, coming too late.....You should be grateful, therefore that you´ve found somebody, who loves you. Give your partner space and freedom...and love him,how he is...

Christine I totally respect what you are saying and wish I could feel that way right now but I had over 12 years of living with a slob where I worked MUCH longer hours than him and also did everything inside and outside of the home & acreage. I was never so exhausted before. I don't want to live like that again. I'm tired just recalling it. If he's willing to hire a cleaning service then no problem!
Let me say so... If your lovy has a habit you cannot arrange with... then it´s better to leave. Maybe you are successful to change a child, but never you can change a man. My experience is to accept what you can, feel nice and don´t try to destroy feelings.. They are too worthful..
There are time we all leave mess, and dont like to clean nothing wrong with this... but to be like this always thats something i can not stand.
