Okay, it's time to tighten up. I am posting this in the interest of accountability. I will post periodical updates.

    Current stats:
    Height: 6'1" (185 cm)
    Weight 225lbs (102 kilos)
    Bodyfat = 21.7 %

    Goal:
    Weight 210lbs (95 kilos)
    Bodyfat = 18%

Working out is not a problem, I do that regularly with glee. The issue is diet, and for me over the last few days, and my intent for the rest of the summer:

Mueslix and a muffin w/juice and coffee for breakfast.
Tuna or Chicken Salad for lunch and dinner.
One or two protein shakes per day.
    Unlimited fresh fruit.
    Lots of water.

    I'll be back...

You are pretty much where I was around last August. 6'3", 225lbs... now, I'm at 193.4. I've found that the hard part is when I'm around large groups of people who are chowing down on the things that used to be my favorites. The main culprit being wings and beer at happy hour.

At any rate, good luck! Keep us updated.

Thanks for the encouragement, jaisee and blacktiger. I like to carry a lot of muscle so I don't know if I will go sub 200.

Sounds like you were really successful in your diet plan. Great job!

This is for the most part a good plan for your self !.........my only comments is the quantity of sugar in the Mueslix combined with the sugar in the juice....remember the body has to release insulin to neutralize and deal with this sugar, when this happens it stops digesting the meal and goes into fat storage mode. As long as you stay in this mode, it will not allow you to ever lean out and have a hard chiseled body. Most men would love to have their legs, arms, abs, chest, and lower back be harder and show lines with separation. Too much sugar in the diet will never let them fulfill this dream. It is the immortal enemy to the defined body......unlimited fruit is better than unlimited pastries...but there again, they are filled with glucose, a natural sugar, which are easier on your teeth but still requires insulin....apples are the very best though,..they very low in sugar yet high in fiber and nutients

Great tips Arch, thanks! I also forgot to add I am allowing myself a glass or two of red wine a day. I know this diet isn't perfect but it is much better than what I was eating before.

Let me give this a few weeks before I refine it too much. I find it extremely sustainable for the time being, which is important.

Thats a lil extreme dont you think??...

Youre at 225 lbs, your aim is 210lbs, i doubt you need to be on a strict diet to lose 15 lbs, come on. Just add a 5 km jog/day to your work out routine and delete useless stuff from your current food intake and im sure you will lsoe 15 lbs in no time- at least i would.

I dont see why you'd wish to starve yourself in that fashion just to lose 15 lbs?..

Cool. I'd like to join in.

    Current stats:

    Height: 5'10"
    Weight: 145 lbs
    Body fat: 12.5%

    Goal to achieve:

    Weight: 160
Body fat: I'm not sure, but much more fat than i currently have.

*I'm a really thin guy, and i really want to sculpt my body and finally put on muscle. Dwight Howard said he used to be as skinny as a toothpick, and now look at him. That definitely gives me hope. I will start by eating more regularly to get my weight up. Then i will hit the gym. I hope i can finally get myself looking ripped.:)

I have a track and field meet coming up in a few weeks and I want to carry less weight while competing.

The meals may seem extreme to you BMJ, but I don't feel starved. As we age our metabolism slows down and we don't burn fuel as rapidly or easily as we used to. If you'll note some of the above comments, you'll see at least one person has advised to cut still more from the diet.

Thanks for the tips, let's see how it goes.

OK Bryant, since we have reverse goals, you have to gain a pound for every pound I lose during the same time period.

Sweet, it's a deal! I can put on the weight easily, but my task is to actually keep it on this time.

Protein shakes work for me. Have you tried them?

Crap, i weighed myself today, and it wasn't good. I'm down to 136 lbs. I've been eating pretty good lately, so i don't know why the sudden drop. I guess i have to double my meal intakes, and i'm gonna try the protein shakes like Dex suggested. My metabolism is so fast, i drop weight in a matter of only days. I'll do/try anything that will allow me to finally keep weight on for a change. I'll try the protein shakes and see how they work for me.

Consume more calories than you burn on a daily basis. Doing any weight training?

That's probably my biggest problem. I don't consume more than i burn. I don't have a car yet, so for the time being i ride my bike all over the city. I also play hours of basketball for recreation, and do a lot of sweating. I'm not currently doing any weight training, but i'm very motivated to finally start it. My fear about doing weight training was that it would throw off my shot when i play basketball (i'm a sniper on the court, trust me :D) but if it means getting bigger and more fit, i will do it.

Maybe you can be more of a low-post presence, like a young Ben Wallace, after working out and lifting weights lol

HAHAHA....i never thought about it like that.:) even though i'm skinny right now, i've always liked taking a smaller guy into the post and putting my dream shake on him. posting somebody up is fun, so even though my shot will turn into garbage when i put on muscles, i'll still be able to back these dudes in and finish at the rim.:D

I've never been the sniper on the court that you probably are but I noticed back when I lifted a lot that my shot was completely different after weight-training. When I was younger, I used to shoot by bending from the knees a little and following through with a flick of the wrist...but with weights...I didn't really need the "jump" in jumpshot...if I jumped and shot...the power would force the ball way past the backboard....use less leg and the ball actually can have some added arc. Minor adjustment..but it can work.
