nice clip he's not sweating any black women leaving his fan base tho.. he has white women who adores him as well
Oh Blair. :smt057 Blair is on fire!! And those episodes from Sex and the City are amazing. Love, love LOVE them. I can watch them over and over and over again. I still wish Miranda hadn't been so stupid to get back together with 'dorky white guy'. He grosses me out. :smt005
really man I remember seeing a picture of him, surrounded by white girls (I think his make-up artists), that just seemed so pleased to be around him. One of them was even copping a feel me thinks. The man's a stud.
If ALL the black actors in Hollywood was worried about what black women thought then there would NEVER be interracial scenes in movies. I applaud Blair and other black male actors who ignore those cries and continue doing interracial love scenes . . . when available. I also applaud the white women willing to do those scenes with black men . . . when available.
I don't think most sisters care who BM are dating it's only small outspoken minorities that are making most noise even those don't have problem with brothas it's just that they don't want ww to be promoted as queens and impersonate them. I must also say that I have a problem with media pushing IR becuase there are stupid empty headed people in this world who will look up to the media for guidance. Nobody in their right mind would want such messed up people around. .
I am sure that you are right, and that the Black Women who have followed me down the street with my spouse screaming at us because he "Got a Snowball", or who chanted the lyrics from Jungle Fever at us when we were just trying to go to the grocery store, or who have pretended to be my friend and then ditched me when they first saw my Man, or who have called me weak, slut, bitch, and worse were all just trying to ensure that I was not going to be promoted as a queen. Phew, that makes it all okay. Thanks so much for that. Now I know that I should have just stayed in my place -- obviously, Black Women are Queens, and White Women are not. And clearly, IR has to be kept out of the Media, because otherwise people might choose IR as well, if they are stupid and empty headed enough! It all makes perfect sense now.
I recently heard a comedian say that BW hate interracial dating the most because they're not really attracted to WM. Sounds to me like someone's a little too high on themselves. Am I wrong?:smt102
Blair Underwood and Mario Van Peebles are the best brothers when it comes to IR on screen. I wished there are more of them. The only one that came close to them is Samuel L. Jackson.
DEAR CBQ Don't get offended that was not my intention and whatever you do please don't twist my words. There are too many people opposed to relationships between BM and WW we must ask ourselves why this is so. The mass media can give the impression that there is more IR out there than there actually is and that false information makes some ppl (mosty WM) become more angrier. Sisters won't harm you go out and make friends with some of them and you'll be ok. white dudes are different story james von brunn is perfect example who killed BM that opened a door for him just few days ago. BTW I always thought you were a guy :smt102
I'm sorry but that's just not true. I grew up in a mixed neighborhood. My best friend is a Black Woman, all but one of the best female friends I've ever had in my life have been Black Women, my circle of female friends has always been predominately Black Women, I am close with my Mother in Law, and the Women I encounter through work are predominately Black Women. I have absolutely no trouble making friends with Black Women. However, as I clearly stated, I have lost some of those friends when they met my Man. Also, as I clearly stated, I have been verbally assaulted by Black Women simply for standing next to my husband. I have also been physically assaulted for the same thing. I have actually gotten very little mess from White Men for my relationship, but that is likely a geographic thing. You may be of the belief that no Black Women care about interracial relationships, but that's not at all reflected in my own experiences as someone in an IR relationship for nearly 2 decades. In my experience, Black Women care more about IR than any one of any other race or gender. I completely disagree with the idea that reducing the number of interracial relationships in the media, we will reduce hostility towards interracial relationships. Over the past few decades, tolerance towards interracial relationships has increased in part because people in typically segregated areas have become more accustomed to the idea. I also frankly don't care if seeing lots of interracial relationships pisses anyone off. They are dinosaurs of another time, and they need to disappear into history where they belong. If there are more interracial relationships portrayed in the media than exist in the real world, good. Our numbers will only increase anyway as times goes on, so perhaps this will prepare people for the future.
Blair is practically the go-to guy in Hollywood for IR scenes. I'm suprised he wasn't in the movie 'Obsessed'. I'm sure he will be back very soon for another on-screen IR relationship.
