Who likes Country Music?

    I really became aware that R&B and Country were similar when Lionel Ritchie was writing songs for Kenny Rogers back in the early eighties. Rogers had a hit with "Lady", which was written by Ritchie.

    I always wondered what it would sound like if Ritchie sung it, then I saw him do it on Johnny Carson one night. It was great.

    Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder and the Commodores are examples of R&B acts who recorded country songs.

    Hmmm...then I guess I do like country music. I love Johnny Cash.

    i grew up in montana so yes, i do like some (not all) country music...i have even dated a cowboy as in rodeo...calf roping...bull riding...hangin' out at the rockin R bar in bozeman montana...before it was fashionable lipstick was just a little tyke wearing cowboy boots with her dresses...

    country music is always telling a story!

    Y'all not hip to Ronnie Milsap from way back in the day. My mother used to bump his records all the time when I was little.

    I do listen to a number of country artists also. Clint Black, Travis Tritt, LeAnn Womack. Sometimes you hear theses songs and the stories in them and you just say to yourself I can relate to exactly what they are singing about.
