I enjoyed watching the man Tiger Woods roar back at the Memorial Golf Match today. When scores of critics said he was now a "has been" and losing his touch since getting married and having children he proved them all wrong again. GO TIGER!
So sad. I saw Lebron selling Nikes at my local Foot Locker this afternoon, his summer job. I asked him what Cavs fans are going to do when he leaves Cleveland and he responded, "Get used to losing again."
We've already resolved this issue. I was out of line for my comment. I'll save such remarks for the appropriate thread.:smt023
As an avid golfer and scratch handicap, watching Tiger play is just an incredible treat. The things he has accomplished so far in his still young career are nothing short of otherworldly. I predict two more tour wins and maybe a major for the rest of this year and then lookout for 2010, where I expect another 8 or 9 win season with full health with at least two more majors. Tiger should catch and pass Jack in 2011, both in career wins and majors.
Aside from the thread distraction, Tiger Woods will make history in breaking the record. many black will still be cool to him because he does not see himself as a true black man. It's a shame you are penalized for not being what you want to be. There has to be a herd mentality and you must be controlled by the group think.
Got this book "Think Like a Tiger: An Analysis of Tiger Wood's Mental Game", by John Andrisani at Barnes & Noble, ISBN 0-399-14843-4. Excellent book to get life skills and strategies. GET IT. Yes, I never understood those who want him to identify soley as a Black man, and just deny the other part of his ethnic makeup. I remember him saying that he is fully aware of how others see him, he still gets hatemail that uses slurs for African Americans, but he refuses to let others define who he is. Makes sense to me.
I'm glad his driving is getting back under control. He'll need pinpoint accuracy at BETHPAGE BLACK for the US OPEN. I can't wait to watch him there...it was great watching him there when the US OPEN was there a few years ago.
Homicide rates in Los Angeles plummeted by nearly one-third in the first four months of this year, the largest drop of any major U.S. city, officials said Thursday. http://www.dailynews.com/breakingnews/ci_12317184
Tiger, win the next major this weekend and shut the mouths of all your critics. Make it 15 majors in the pocket with 3 to go and then break that to make it 20 and over. Tiger, I can understand why you must have distaste for stupid people.
