Not a bar fight, no. I've only ever been in one fight, when I was thirteen. This 16 year old girl that was literally twice my size jumped on me (we were little rockers at this point and the scally kids always started fights with us) and knocked me to the floor. So I ripped out her earrings.

One of my good friends, actually. One of our mutual friends is called 'Ria' so obviously 'Ria' and 'Kia' are always confused.
I get 'Valerie' all the time, too, which is annoying, but what I HATE is 'Val.'

Yes, not too long ago. Some jersey type Italian dude was on the dance floor and he bumped into my boy Julio. Julio told him to chill and he turned around and did it again, so Julio told him he was going to fuck him up or something. In the end, it just ended up being a lot of shit talking and we were kicked out. No big deal, I guess...

Yes, in college. My drunk friend was making an ass out of himself so I dragged him outside. I took my eye off of him to walk to the car. When I looked towards him he was in a fistfight so I jumped in. We were outnumbered and about to get mauled when a posse of our friends arrived just in time, then it stopped. Then there was that other time in college at a Country and Western bar where I was pretending like I was Reggie Hammond from 48hrs...

2 Have you ever paid for something using only pennies? Yes, and felt no shame whatsoever.

3 Have you ever met someone who consistently called you by the wrong name, even after a "polite correction" or two (or more)? Yeah, but usually it was an honest mistake, like they called me by the name of another guy who was very similar to me. Easily fixed when you don't respond to the wrong name once or twice.

4 Have you ever been in a heated debate with someone only to later find out that you were, in fact, WRONG? Not really because usually a debate is for the sake of argument and about opinions. We all know about assholes and opinions-everybody has one.

7 Have you ever felt so sure that someone was "the one" only to have your heart broken afterwards? Prior to meeting Mrs Nose I think I had only gone as far as thinking someone was potentially the one. Had my heart broke for sure though.

1. The closest I ever came to getting into a bar fight was a little more than a year ago. While the stupid crap was happening, I kept repeating Danny Glover's line from "Lethal Weapon", "I'm too old for this shit". The crisis was averted.

2. Um...not that I can remember. Maybe as a kid, when a piece of candy was like 5 or 10 cents? (ACK I'm showing my age!! LOL)

3. No. I've had a few people think my name was something different, but after I told them my full name, instead of the shortened version, then they had no issues with my name.

4. Yes. I can't think of any specific examples, but I know I have. And my response to when I find out I was, indeed, wrong (it doesn't happen often, ha ha), is usually, "my bad".

5. I have smelled books, but not consciously.

6. Yes. A female friend of mine stopped talking to me for a year, several years ago. No explanation, nothing. We are good friends now though.

7. Two divorces? Yes, absolutely.

Unfortunately yes, not proud of it - twice in my early twenties. One was acctually a good friend: I told her that I had caught her boyfriend cheating - somehow he managed to convince her that I was jealous and wanted him (HA!) - they both jumped me in a bar. I learned my lesson to keep my mouth shut and eventually my friend caught her no-good bf herself and appologized - too late.

All the time, some of my customers are CONVINCED that I Americanized my name and take it upon themselves to "Europeanize" my name, thinking they are clever, but they are wrong.. I've given up - as long as they bring me projects

Not as such, but I was beaten up outside a night club by a group of girls when I was fifteen because one of them thought that their boyfriend was flirting with me.

I have an unusual name which people don't always know how to pronounce. Several people I have worked with have repeatedly got it wrong over time (even though they are not even saying it in the way it's spelt!) - it just becomes embarrassing to correct people.

Try and avoid this situation. It would be more accurate to say I've been in a heated debate and actually changed my mind during the course of it!
