I feel your pain. Hang in there, like Karma said. There's really nothing you can do. Try not to stress too much about something you have no control over. (I know, easier said than done).

You'll come out on top no matter what! :D

Started my dental school application last night! I have to fill in my grades and courses...that will take HOURS! Mostly everything else is done...

I'm having a tough time writing a personal statement. I had written one 3 years ago for a class...but that was back when I was pre-vet...lots of work to do on that.

Almost lost my dog today. She went it for a teeth cleaning and had a bad reaction to the anesthesia...the vet thinks she may have Cushings disease...and I think that too...she drinks so much damn water and then pees in the house (she is housebroken too). So my mom went to get her and she had a hard time walking, she collapsed several times. That poor dog, she just can't catch a break! I can't bear the thought of putting her down but if her quality of life is going to be affected then I have no choice :smt010

Awesome learnin, I think the best personal statement would be one where you connect the benefits of medical science to humanitarian values.

And sorry about your pooch. :(

Oh, Learning, I'm sorry to hear about your dog. Cushings disease is not fun. :-( My family's last dog had Cushings. It's a horrible disease.

I hope you can find some peace. **hugs** :smt056

Good luck to you with dental school!!

Had a lovely day today. First Nate and I went to the park and had a nice stroll through a Japanese garden, and then headed to the Museum of Natural Science. Took a lot of great pictures, and had a really good time. I caught and petted a baby duck. :D And I saw a whole shit load of shiny gemstones and jewelry at an exhibit at the museum. Soooo pretty.

I love free Tuesdays at the museum. And once summer break kicks in I'm taking advantage of the free Thursday afternoons at the Museum of Fine Arts. :D :D :D Can't wait.

and Cherry Blossoms are great to photograph.

As for my job, ain't lost it yet but it's not looking good. I hate this fucking job, but I have to pay rent somehow, whatever happens, happens.

I'm about to post the pictures in a bit of me holding the baby duckie. ohhh it was so freaking cute. There were some pretty ugly ducks there, too. lol So many good pictures!

Well then you'll just get a better job anyhow. They can eat a dick.

Had a great day in Tel Aviv today. Caught up with old friends, smokes some double apple shisha, drank some seriously strong coffee and just poked around and got lost a few times. Getting lost in a city is the coolest thing n the world...........you never know what is around the corner.

I am back in my hotel now, raiding the mini bar and enjoying the simple pleasure of non censored tv. A movie where people actually kiss, how novel. Whee I live the scene just disappears and then you are left wondering....What the hell just happened.

Thinking of maybe heading out tomorrow but not sure. Feel the need to get into the old city and head for the Wailing Wall.

Also really want to head for Eilat and beach and dive. There is some really good diving so not sure which direction I want to go.

Ahhhhh the joys of holidays.....too many decisions and lots of time to make them.

I don't have to be ANYWHERE until August 14th but would like to get a visit in with family and friends in North America before then.

Perhaps you stole all of our rain. Generally Houston has a very explicit rainy season, but this year it's been rather dry in comparison

Well. Things have been a bit all over the place recently. I posted a while ago about dating a much older guy. I eventually decided against pursuing that relationship, for various reasons I won't go into. Another relationship had also come to an end.

However, I have recently met someone and we are now spending about two hours a night on the phone to each other and constantly texting. He has the most fantastic personality, sense of humour, jour de vivant etc. Completely smitten. :smt060

It's raining here too (still). We have, according to the BOM, the highest rain on record, whilst other parts of the country have the lowest on record. The world is indeed changing. I haven't seen rain like this for 10 or more years.

Climate change is real. We are trying to determine the potential level of impact here in my city, but with so many unknowns and variables, and with no precedent, it's near impossible. Suffice to say, get to the Maldives sooner rather than later.

Don't need to tell me twice! :smt038

Im quite in shock - its funny how we react to rain in LA especially in the summer.. "what is that?"

I just came back from work in Orlando last nite so I am enjoying the lack of humidity here
