So what? There is a clip on youtube of a volunteer for the Obama campaign snapping and calling them fake Israelite black supremacist "niggers".She was taunted into doing so,but she showed her racism nonetheless.

Like i said,Obama wouldnt have gotten elected if Bush hadn't of fuked up the repubs rep.
He probably wouldnt have gotten elected if he was dark skinned either.
Im not going to get into the hypotheticals, but there are several reasons why i believe Obama was elected.

Focusing on the surfeit of problems within the Black community should be the number 1 priority

    I believe in self determination

If you people want to keep on getting beguiled by these other groups, then so be it.
Btw,how does it feel to know that Dr King was influenced by a racist indian who despised blacks and thought of them as inferior?

How is any group going to improve the socioeconomic status of African Americans collectively?
How is any group going to help decrease the homicide rate among black teens?
How is any group going to improve the quality of education within predominately African American schools?
How is any group going to decrease the AIDS rate among African Americans?

These problems of today can only be solved by ourselves...

Btw,many abolitionist were racist.Abolitionist hated the institution of slavery for various reasons. Some moral, some religious.Majority of abolitionist wanted the institution of slavery to be destroyed, but by no means did they want blacks to have rights and be their socioeconomic, political equals.

White ethnics became white, because collectively, they decided to turn and oppress African Americans. That was initiation to assimilation within the dominant anglo white community.Irish Catholic immigrants who supported the institution of slavery, and the anglo slave masters would support anti british campaigns back home in Ireland. So both were gaining something from the relationship.
Its a dog eat dog world. This country has a history of certain groups stepping on others to get to the top.Unfortunately, blacks have always been at the bottom getting stepped on.

The european immigrants of the mid to late 19th and early 20th century certainly have.

AFTER they had been met with relentless campaigns from Blacks demanding their HUMAN rights ;)
Believe me,those white men would have been perfectly content with letting the blacks languish in their separate world.

    Focus is not a solution.

    Bullshit.

A number of those problems are directly influenced by White People. The AIDS rate is directly affected by the disproportionate number of Black Men who are sent to jail, frequently unjustly.

The quality of education is directly affected by government corruption, a problem that usually involves groups other than Black people.

These are not problems caused and controlled entirely by Black people, they did not happen in vaccum, and you can't solve them without solving the systematic inequality that impacts them.

    Bullshit.

My ancestors were abolitionists and soliders in the Union army. We have their diaries. They absolutely believed Black people deserved rights like any other people.

The lines of the Union song go "As he died to make men holy, let us die to make them free." That line was made up by actual Union soldiers, and sung by them all. Note that they say "Men" not "subMen", note what they believed they were fighting for.

White people have a history of racism that is as horrifying as it is long. But in every generation, there were good people. In every group, race, class, whatever, even when the leaders are repulsive, there are good people in that group as well. Throughout the ugly history of White racism, there have also been White people who -- based upon their morals -- were working for change, working for equality. Whether it was White Women shot for driving Black people during the Bus strike, or some John Brown type, they were there.

This leads any intelligent person to realize that if there were allies even among White People, even when the White race as a group was so horrible, then the same must hold true of other groups: Arabs, Asians, Hispanics, Jews, Gays -- there are allies in every group.

They are motivated by basic morality.

It is that morality that you're having trouble getting past. It's inherently immoral to treat someone badly based upon the color of their skin. It seems to me that the reason you're having so much trouble convincing more Black Men here to join with you in stepping on people's necks like others have stepped on yours is because stepping on people's necks is inherently wrong, and the Men here are Good Men. Try as you might, you won't convince them to be otherwise, and "everyone else is doing it" won't be a good enough argument.

Are you all sure this is a Black Woman, and not a White Man? It seems to really enjoy talking about Black people being hated by other groups.
