Retake that history course, congrats on the other grades. You're one of the youngest people on the board, yet you express yourself with a clarity greater than that of some people here twice your age. Keep exploiting your strengths, because I can honestly say that my quality of life is principally owed to my education. Regardless of the economic situation right now, California offers unparalleled opportunities for personal elevation. I went from a high school dropout to UCLA graduate, no bullshit. And that goes for Britty, SarahS, and disposableheroine too: you're all bright as hell.
Thanks man. Yeah, I'm thinkin' of taking the course again. Hopefully, I get the rest of my pre-reqs out of the way next semester.
Oh, come on now! TS! You know you can do this job. There's not even a question you can do this job. And, just remember, if you're having trouble, don't be afraid to ask for help!
come on you did great on the job test and you will do great in person what department in social services will you be working? we used to have a social worker from the child health and disabilitys team
Saw The Girlfriend Experience in the theater last night which was horrible. Luckily it was only 78 minutes long.
Yes, true. Sadly, History is usually my best subject, but I slacked off this semester. Half assed preparation and arriving to class 5 minutes late everyday fucked my grade.
I quit my job! No biggie I only had four weeks left on my contract. I was miserable so I figured why not stay here and look at rocks and stuff. Off on a new adventure on saturday. Going to Israel then maybe Syria or Jordan. Have to be in Dubai for the 23rd to catch my flight...going to Miami for a few days and then home to Canada land.
Wow!! Sounds like you're ready for a new adventure. Israel? I'm sooo jealous!! I want to go back! It's soooo beautiful and amazing there....while we were there, we wanted to visit Petra in Jordan, but we were advised not to.... Not sure how it is over there right now (I was there in 2000), so just be careful! :smt023 Damn, I'm soooo jealous! :smt091 :smt037
Petra is all cool now. No worries. That is at the top of my list. I just had a friend come back a few days ago and she had a great time. I did have a friend who was there and missed the bombing by a few days. I am very excited about Israel. Where did you go? I lived there for six months a looooooooong time ago and have been back a few times. Never been to Syria but I hear it is gorgeous so i figure why not?
Damn! Must schedule my return to that area! That was my one regret about being over there - not seeing Petra. I was there for 2 1/2 weeks - I dug on the West Bank, I visited Jerusalem several times, Nazareth, Bethlehem, Garden of Gethesmene, The Temple Mount, The Wailing Wall, The Israel Museum, Herodium, Beit She'an (which I loved), Qumran, Tel Aviv, The Dead Sea, Megiddo, Ein Gedi, Jericho, and a few other places. I went with a Biblical group who does archaeological work to prove the stories in the Bible. We were digging for Ai. It was a great experience all the way around. Wow!! Aside from Switzerland, I think Israel would be one of the only places I'd consider living outside of the US. I ate my first falafel there, ate hummus for the first time there. Man, I miss it!!
Thanks Robina and Fehg (my angel ). Vanilla and Book, all this talk about Middle-East is making me want to fly there! Oh well... I'm eating cous cous everyday instead of the pasta.... trying to be there int the spirit, lol
Okay, my team just lost and I'm fucking gutted. We didn't deserve it and we weren't screwed or anything because we played like shit, but it still hurts maaaan. Being surrounded by thousands of crying United fans didn't help matters either. And my boyfriend didn't help, calling up as soon as the match finished, going 'HAHAHAHAHAHA!' well, shit. I guess I take football too seriously innit lol
