I appreciate your responses ladies. And your responses have really added some thought-provoking and philosophical angles to this thread that I'm rather enjoying. So, thanks for that!! :D

I mainly said what I said out of jest, because I was still at work, hating my job. :smt043

But, I do agree that most people don't achieve their version of paradise because of fear - fear of failure, fear of the unknown, and even fear of success.

I think if people just let go and enjoyed their lives, the world would be a much better place....

I'm actually kind of liking Saty's answer the best about what there is to live for - it's about experiences, be they small or big experiences.

I, too, want to be able to look back at my life on my deathbed and know that I lived.

I think our purpose is knowing that we were fulfilled in whatever way that best suits each and every one of us. :smt023

I live to pursue my dreams and to fulfill my destiny. I also live to help others whenever I'm able to.

Why am i here, cuz i never asked to be
but what i consist of had that desire
to have baseless sex and smoke my weed
lighting it up, in the burning fire

Why am i here, i need to find my vision
define my mission, sleeping with da whitest women
and leave them screaming, swimming in BLACK semen
    spurting aggressions of penile incisions

So why THE FUCK am i here???...cuz Im full of life and blazing passion
To have sex and smoke my weed, and when i end it
Relay the torch so MY seeds can carry on these actions
Making certain BLACK existence remains persistent on this planet:smt028

    Why am I here?

I still don't know. I hope some day to find the meaning of my crazy life.

I live to live my life to the fullest. I want to experience as many things as I can, see as many places as possible and make the most out of my time here.

When I was a wee young tot I wanted a lot of money, a big house and a nice car. (shallow I know)

Now I just want happiness. I realize that connections with other people are the most important in life as well as the relationship I have with myself. Do I like myself, am I a good person and will I leave this place any better than when I found it.

Happiness is up to the individual. What makes one person happy may make another miserable. So set your own course that provides as much fun. love and adventure you can handle.

Take risks, tell those you love that you do indeed love them, help a stranger, be kind to people, have manners, be tolerant, try not be judgemental.

If you find someone you really love, hang onto them, cherish them and respect them.

    Get out there and live.

wow i am kind of surprised that so many of you don't believe any desteny, and a great meaning of your lives. to me it's just obvious. we're not just animals, we are similar to God, which means we have great abilities, we can create! animals can't do that!

Look at this beautiful universe. it is perfect! how can be such a perfect thing be made for no reason? for us just to be bodies and live our stupid lives for no reason? this is rubbish to me. i mean of course this world was created for a purpose and everyone of us is here for a purpose too!

Maybe your hidden purpose in the cosmos is to make your own. ;)

I just hope that everyone does what makes them happiest and makes them feel the most fulfilled before they kick the bucket. I believe that is the purpose and even if it's not the purpose of why you're here then at least you had a good fulfilling time anyway.

yeah! actually when a person is happy and feels fulfilled, it means he's following his right way and doing what he's supposed to do.

I wouldn't say this universe is perfect, or at least this world, but I'm not trying to get into an argument. I understand that people believe in destiny, and I won't knock them for it. I'm not one to accept the whole "god has a plan for my life" thing, or god at all(which reminded me of that "god has a plan for my life" song that was force fed to me back in elementary).

Yeah, I remember reading that somewhere in one of my books and I do believe that to be true because it made sense (to me). Don't ask me which book it was though. :)
