Props to the Lakers and Magic for getting it done. Cavs and Magic in the East and Lakers and Nuggets in the West! Here we go
Dang, my Celtics got their butts whipped at home, in a game 7. I honestly didn't see that one coming, but with the way they lost, it was obvious that Orlando was the better team. Garnett is just THAT important to the Celtics. Without him, i'm surprised they made it as far as they did. Same thing for the Rockets. They played hard, and with a lot of passion, but without your best player, it's so hard to advance. I don't think Cleveland wanted to see Orlando though, because Orlando has the matchups to beat them. James is the best player in the NBA, but Dwight Howard is the best possible player for stopping him. James loves to drive the lane, and nobody is able to drive the lane when Howard is in there. This is going to be a great series, and i think if Orlando wins one of the first 2 games, they'll win this series. Denver vs. L.A is also very interesting. The Lakers have the matchups to beat the Nuggets, so i'm guessing the Lakers will win this series. However, if Billups has a great series (like Aaron Brooks) the Lakers might be in trouble. I think both series are going 7, and if i had to choose, i would say Magic vs. Lakers in the finals, but i hope i'm wrong. I hope it's Magic vs. Nuggets.
It could potentially be hell with Denver but I am hoping we come out w/ our best foot forward and take it to the Nuggets. You hope it's Magic vs Nuggets? Fuuuuck that. That would be such a boring series. tsk, tsk tsk, Bryant. :| Anyways, I'm so pumped up for Game 1 tomorrow!! And I'm so sick of seeing Cleveland and their perfect little winning streaks. Someone needs to stand up to them and give them a FIgHT! :smt074
Kudos to the Lakers for stepping up to the plate when it matters. It wasn't quite the fiesta in Game 5, but for a team who supposedly wanted to advance to the Western Conference Finals, Houston sure didnt play like it. They missed easy shots in the first half, and allowed the Lakers' size get the better of them. Kobe didnt have a great offensive output, but he didnt need to. That is how good the Lakers were. You know Los Angeles is firing on all cylinders when Kobe "only" scores 14 points and no one talks about it. I'm so happy for them. Here's hoping we stick around till June:rock: I kinda smirked when Boston lost by that many points. I knew they needed KG but damn, did they let open a can of whoop ass:smt089 Dwight Howard is a beast and even though i'm not quite ready to say that Cleveland's run is over, the next series could be very interesting. If Orlando get as physical as they did, they can give Cleveland a run for their money. can.
