    Guys,

I sure hope you can tell me that our sister planet, venus, can be terraforming into earth-like world! It would be very interesting to see how venus turn out to be! What do you think? I know that scientists are not interested in venus, but very interesting to do terraforming mars instead of our sister planet.

It can be done, but it would be much harder than Mars. First of all, you would have to remove all of the heat from the atmosphere. You want to eliminate CO2 from the atmosphere of Venus, put a sun shield around the planet, and deliver comets from the Kuiper Belt and the Oort Cloud to fill the planet with water. We have nowhere near the technological capability for this.

It would be much better to construct floating cities on Venus. Here is an excerpt from this article: 50 km above the surface, Venus has air pressure of approximately 1 bar and temperatures in the 0°C-50°C range, a quite comfortable environment for humans. Humans wouldn’t require pressurized suits when outside, but it wouldn’t quite be a shirtsleeves environment. We’d need air to breathe and protection from the sulfuric acid in the atmosphere.

The atmosphere of Venus is 97% CO2 and 3.5% nitrogen. Additionally, the clouds are made of sulfuric acid. So you can get all of the volatiles (hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen), as well as carbon (which can be used both for life support and construction purposes by using carbon nanotubes and graphene) by simply "mining" the atmosphere and cloud cover. Energy can be obtained from wind power, or from the thermal gradient between the much colder atmosphere (at and above the floating cities) and the hot surface, which is 900°F.

It sucks that we'll be LONG gone before life possible develops on Venus. Damn slow ass evolution.

LMAO! Sounds like you're having the problem here on the earth, don't ya?! :D Well, why are you so sad that none of us will be around once our sister planet becoming earth-like world? Well, from your part of comment, it's true. None of us will be around to see it, but I will be. Also from what I've been told, that man, Robert Zurbin himself, he said that mars would be finishing terraforming into earth-like world by 23rd century! That I questioned it! It's very impossible to terraform that planet so quickly!

By the 23rd century? That short of time. Compare that ratio of development to Earth's billions of years. Man, that's fucking fast.

Indeed it is. I question Zurbin's genius after his obsession with mars has began to hold. He wants all humans from the earth to be able to free themselves from federal government and able to govern themselves on Mars. More like democracy government, if you ask me, brotha.

But I smell that sooner or later we will have what we tend to see in the movies, we could have federation nation, do you get me? I really hope you do. So, it could connected between three planets' government.

That's how I question Zurbin's genius! :smt108 Right now, not all government are interesting to getting us out of earth permanently. The choice that facing us, decay or grow..that is, we should grow to ensure that humanity survives and spread our wings in the universe to lives on different planets. You see, what is threatening our very existence, that would be global warming, asteroid and comets, gamma burst, another ice age! Let me ask you hard question, is that wise for us to staying here on the earth?? I think not! :smt092

That's why Robert Zurbin work his ass so harder to making this happening, so we could freed ourselves to mars, so we can proceed to terraforming this dead planet into breathing, living world once again. That is, I want to send my family to live there, so they can working with scientists to terraform the dead world! As goes for me, I have to stay here on the earth, I guess you could says that I have unfinished business with earth.

Would you do the very same for your family? Would you send your family to live there?
