    OK!

    Maybe I'm in denial.

Maybe the Lakers might completely blow it and lose terribly.

    Just maybe.

I don't know if we're ready for the Finals.

For real. The way they're playing inconsistently makes me worry. I hope LA can get out of this slump. Live Jeff Van Gundy said yesterday, what was LA thinking coming out with no aggression and expecting to win. LA needs to be more aggressive, play better defense, stop leaving their damn man open for shot, and stop turning the ball over. Fuck-nut-it!!!!!!!!!

mavericks take game 4 in dallas...game 5 in denver...nuggets played without birdman tonight...he was out with stomach flu...kmart did not play well...dallas only won by 2 points and the nuggets lead for the majority of the game...i expect this series will end with game 5...

the biggest drama of this series is the mavericks owner cuban spouting off to kmart's mother at game 3 in dallas...

He and Dan Snyder of the Redskins are two of my least favorite owners in professional sports.

i can't wait for game 5...i can only imagine what his reception will be at the pepsi center...he would be better off staying in dallas...

Well put; nonetheless, i'm not one of those ready to write L.A's title obituary just yet. Let's remember that last year, the Boston Celtics (who were 66-16 during the regular season) went to 7 games in Round 1 against an 8th seeded team. They also needed 7 to see off Cleveland in the semis, and 6 against Detroit. And we all know what happened in the Finals.

On the flip side, the Lakers pretty much breezed through the playoffs. They didn't even need a Game 5 in the first round, they dispatched the Jazz in 6 (a series they easily could have ended in five games, perhaps even four) and exposed San Antonio for the golden oldies that they are. They couldn't repeat some of that magic in the "big one", however.

Am i saying that everything is going swell for the Los Angeles Lakers? No. They need to stop blowing leads, play better defense and stop underwhelming themselves, but it ain't over until the fat lady sings.

Beating a team by 40 points means you should be able to do the same by at least 1 point the next time you meet.
