NO it is YOU who need some glasses and a history lesson. For one thing ARAB IS NOT A RACE. ANYONE can be "Arab", it is like Latino it is someone who identifies as such on linquistic and cultural grounds. There are jet-black ARABS, and there are blond-haired blue eyed Arabs.

This woman in the pics clearly has black ancestry, and if she was born here than she would be classified as a Black American. HOWEVER, ALL Arab (and Berbers) are classified as "Caucasoid" in this country, she would be "white" if she immigrated here.

There was a Black Egyptian who FOUGHT AGAINST being called white by the gov't. He is jet-black and look like any other African-American, but he was considered 'white'.

I have made these very same arguments on this board concerning Latin baseball players like A Rod who are very light but would still be considered black if not for his Hispanic heritage even though he has just as much black in him (features wise) as his mixed/black teammate Derek Jeter.

I doubt it. I've seen a generally high degree of solidarity within the minority community in France, assuming she is part of the working class minority community in France and not the daughter of some potentate. He's Martiniquan and presumably Christian. The highest degree of alienation and hostility I've seen appears (and I could certainly be wrong here) to be targeted at Muslim residents.

 

Any news on his health post-surgery 2 weeks ago?
