Do You Like Where You Live?

In many posts I find a recurring complaint about where people live and how they'd prefer to be elsewhere. I don't share this sentiment, which is why I typically gloss over it. It doesn't have to be your country or state (province), it could just be your neighborhood. I am curious though, who among you doesn't like where you live and why?

 

Hell to the no. I hate my city. Too many dumbasses here. Been here forever, tired of the look of this city, tired of living in Northern Cali. I want to get out of the west in general, but I don't hate the rest of the west, just my city.

 

I'm not a fan of where I live anymore...in the winter. Chicago is great to live, in every other season but winter....

I'm done with the snow. I'm done with idiot drivers who forget how to drive in snow every year. And I'm done with temperatures that are below 20 degrees, with the windchills to match.

 

i yearn to live by the water/beach...i also like having access to a city...i love my little 1950's brick bungalow but not our neighborhood...i have one neighbor i could do without...the rest are cool people...i look forward to moving as soon as spencer finishes high school

 

I don't hate where I live, but I don't like it either.
I moved after high school and got into the groove of another city...then I moved back to my hometown and I'm having trouble getting my footing here. Hopefully it's just temporary.
My hometown is just really boring. It's your typical military base town...lots and lots of soldiers...not much to do.
So I work all the time.

The only thing I don't like about it is that my man isn't with me here. So given the chance to move elsewhere to be with him...I'd take it.

 

I love my city.

 

My city's alright, but it's not the city I want to stay in forever. I'm planning on moving west of my hometown once I make enough.

 

I like and don't like my city. It's one of those things that's hard to explain, but I have my roots here. My whole family lives in or near NJ.

 

on the whole i like my neighbourhood but i hate my neighbour, they play thier music loud enough for me to sing to it thruout my house and my floors vibrate from it. theyve been asked to stop but wont

waiting on being moved again ( only been here 6 months ) as theyve decided it cannot be wheelchair adapted after all but hey at least it gets me away from the crack house next door

 

If you can manage to still technically be on the lease for your current place for a day or so while moving into your new place, you should move all your stereos last. Point them all at your neighbors, and blast "The Macarena" as loud as humanly possible, on a loop for 24 hours or more if possible.

I thought about leaving Ohio many times, but it'll be hard to leave because I have all my family and friends here in the area

 

I told my mom that I was unhappy living in this area and was contemplating moving, when I get the opportunity. She looked at me and said, "but you've lived here all of your life". I said, "So what? So that means I'm stuck here forever? I hate it here" (this was this past winter).

My whole family lives in this area. All of my friends (for the most part) live in this area. But ya know, you can't stay for them. You'll make new friends wherever you end up. You can always go back and visit - learn to like flying. ;-)

I have to make myself happy and if that means moving away someplace with a climate I can deal with better, then so be it. As it is, one of my sister's has one foot out of IL waiting to move to FL full-time. So, there goes one family member. LOL.

 

bookie...can you move right now? i have been chained to colorado due to the visitation agreement with my son's father...i think that we are finally getting to an age where we could go to summer visits if we moved...the biggest obstacle now is that my son wants to stay here and go to high school with his friends

 

I can always move to Southern IL. LOL.

I'm working on that aspect of it....it's not a possibility (for me to move) at the moment anyway. It's something I'm thinking of doing in, hopefully, the near future.

 

There was a time I realy liked the placed where I lived and I was all good with it, then I moved out because of a stupid guy, and since five years it is so hard for me. We moved to a real bad neighbourhood in Frankfurt with some Mosks arround there, andy many realy backwards oriented muslim people. I stayed there one year till I broke up with this guy.
Since then I look for a place as good like my old app and the old neighburhood. I moved four times and I am about to move again.
I need a place where I like to be, because my home is the place where I want to relax. I cannot stand rude people and my appartment needs some standart so it goes with my sence of beauty.

Right now it is alsow that I would like to get out of Germany, I would like to live for while in some other country, just to see something diffrent. I was never realy feeling at home here for some reasons. I would like to work in Korea, but I don´t have any education that would help me with to get the plan realy startet.

 

I am really enjoying where I am living right now. My family is 8000 miles away but that's ok, the umbilicus has been cut, lol.

I love the sun, the sea, the climate, the beaches, the people and the food. Life is good

 

You would be the example of someone who did something about a previous living situation that may (or may not) have been less than ideal.
