Depends how long the flight is. Usually just sleep or do some Sudoku (addicted to it ever since I was bored and pregnant) or watch tv on the little screen in front of you if it's a longer flight.

Me too, I need the leg stretch capability. Exit aisle preferably.

What I do like about the window seat if I'm stuck with it is I can continue reading or working my crossword while everyone goes bonkers trying to get into the overhead compartments at the same time.

Your parents are spoiling you

Haha, I know, right? Lucky sod. Most of the flights I've been on don't even have first class. Woe.
My friends very rich mother tried to relate the other day, and said 'oh even I flow slum class sometimes.'

During my flight to Russia i slept, and only woke up when the flight attendants were serving food, or when i had to go to the bathroom. If it was a shorter flight, i probably would have stayed awake though. There's just not much you can do other than sleep on a 8 hour flight.;)

I have not, now will I ever, fly. But if I were waiting at the bus station or Amtrak, I would probably read the newspaper or listen to music on my mp3 player

Well Sarah, I don't like heights to begin with. Coupled with the thought of me being in air with no control scares me lol. I'm not lying.

I know planes are very safe; you only hear about the crashes. You never hear about the thousands of planes landing safely every year. But I'm just scared about being in a plane and having no connection to the ground.

If I could be put to sleep during the duration of the flight, then I'll get on a plane :p

Me too, which is why I always try to get a window seat. If I can't get next to a window, internally I'm a freaking mess who can't wait for the plane to land safely. LOL.

Naw, I fly free(minus the tax for the flight), since my aunt used to work for Delta. I use the buddy pass though which is a bitch.

Yeah, I hate heights too, yet I love looking out the window. I get hella paranoid for like the first half hour, then I'm alright. I hate turbulence too. It fucks up the tranquility of the flight, especially when you're 2 hours into the flight. I'd hate for some Final Destination shit to hit me and have the whole left side of the plane sucked out and blown to hell.

I used to say that my business card should say
    "professional airline passenger"
    :smt106

I put my ipod in as soon as I sit down and avoid eyecontact at all costs (uless u really really cute)...The Ipod and a book usually do the trick:)

Usually I am forced to catch up with work though although I much rather sleep:smt015

Do you consistently get through the security check without flaw? (No frisking required)

    Funny you should ask...
Right after 9/11 when they did the extra random check at the gate - I was destined to ALWAYS be the one that had to open my carry on and be frisked and get the SSS
    on my boarding pass:-(
    whut?????

I rarely get bothered these days, but if I do, I just deal with it - they are doing their job however random it seems sometimes..
Like the guy last year that took my plastic nailfile and broke it in half (cuz it could be used as a weapon) ..
and procceded to GIVE IT BACK to me - great, NOW its really REALLY sharp!!!!:smt043

I would either sketch, or read, since I sold my Nintendo DS. But I will get a Nintendo DSi soon. Hopefully before I take a plane anywhere...

Sleep, book or music. I only fly on vacatin when everyone else is flying(school holidays) so I tend to go into shut down mode when I fly.

Since Australia is 10 billion miles from anywhere, any international flight (NZ doesn't count) is sure to be L O N G...So, I hit the free alcohol, of course. If I can sleep and should sleep, then I try to...but that seems to be infrequent.

Otherwise, it depends on the length and the purpose of the flight. If I'm totally excited about leaving, then I usually can't settle so will numb my brain with the inflight entertainment...Usually I listen to music, write sometimes, ponder the universe or read a book. I never do puzzles, because they bore me to tears as do most newspapers.
