Her kids may have issues related to early malnutrition or any host of problems. We dont know because we arent raising them.

Personally, I would love to hear KNCAs opinion on this one because she has a few kids and even one adopted.

It's so stupid that we got into a fight over someth like this.

So if that weren't the case, would it be okay for her to favor the adopted kids over her biological one?

Don't mean to stir the pot here, but you needn't apologize for any of it!

Fact of the matter is, there is a world wide double standard right about now, and it favors blacks over whites. Some say it's the Jews that have brought about this reverse inequality. (DISCLAIMER): I Am Not Promoting Antisemitism: But it is a widely held belief that a "Certain" group of elitists, are out for the total destruction of whites, through race mixing, and dumbing down of the race, in order to control the general population. Thus the all out war against the white race, by using such tactics as reverse discrimination, race mixing, and double standards that favor blacks, over whites.

And most lemming whites are too afraid to acknowledge, or confirm what I've just said, for fear of being labeled "racist," the bully label that keeps em in check, while the "master" plan unfolds.

Just stating the facts as observed from others.

    Now carry on...

I hear ya Luc, and I also may expect to take a few pot shots for having said that here, of ALL places, but I promise you, or anyone else, that if you were to use a completely open mind, and research a few topics on the subject of race, discrimination, and double standards, then such an individual may be left to wonder why is there such things as 3rd world immigration into predominantly white countries, laws against free speech, and it's close relative, the guilt of whites if found to be too proud of their heritage. We have a black pride everything, but if whites proclaimed their pride for anything, then all hell breaks loose. The NAACP, SPLC, Anti Defamation League, Rev. Al, and Rev. Jessie will be picketing in the streets, calling for the heads of whites. Is this NOT a disparity? Are whites able to receive the same guarantee of higher education in the American colleges, the same as blacks, and other minorities, or do they have the benefit of Affirmative Action, which is just another form of racial preferences that favors us. The very article that this thread is based, will prevent one sibling (white) of receiving a higher education, while at the same time, allow the other sibling (black) of acheiving their Masters Degree, based on this same philosophy of double standards.

Why are you writing here all that in response to my post? You're post sounds suspicious to me. Are you trying to make me say someth that you think I normally wouldn't or what? If you want to ask me something you can do that directly.

This whole thread contains flimsy arguments on what is a mostly ridiculous point.

Regardless of colour or anything else, some mothers or parents will favour one child or some children over the other/s. Some mothers will treat their children entirely equally.

In regards to adopted children, I agree with Fly. I believe the two boys were a bit older when they were adopted. Meaning, there could be many different issues they've had to deal with as they've grown into children. The parenting techniques very well might have to be different in order to cater to the different children's needs.

When AJ confirms she has white guilt and treats her biological children as inferior to her adopted children, then everyone can comment. Until that point, we know nothing more of their life than what comes through the media machine and I would be reading anything from there with a truck full of salt.

I wonder, regularly, whether BMJ just starts these threads in order to create a stir. His observations are mostly worthless as he has no understanding of the context of the families involved. This is up there with his "throwing a baby in a bin" thread.

All we can say is that having an un-equal amount of love for your children is wrong. I think, on this much at least, we can agree.

No, not at all. I actually didn't mean to seem as if I care to inquire anything about you, or even put you on the spot with my post. I apologize, if that's how you do indeed feel, as a result, however there is nothing suspicious here, as I have written similar rather conservative posts in the past, long before you came aboard.

    Have a nice day! :)

Ok well as a mom of both white children and a black child...I may have a bit different perspective on this.

I'm not familiar with the things that AJ said. But in reading what ThePolice quoted (along with your comments) I can say that I do understand what she was saying.

Some may think that my black daughter is shown extra attention because I am very careful to make sure that her hair and skin is well taken care of. There are extra things that I have done for her that I did not do for my other children...simply because things are different. I realize that I am under more scrutiny as a white mom of a black daughter than I am with my bio kids....you may not agree - I don't give a shit. I live the reality. I could say well fine I won't play into it and all that but it then falls upon my daughter.

There are all sorts of things that my children get to deal with and will get to deal with. And yes it's true that because my daughter is black she will be given opportunities that my other children will not. Just as my other children are given white privilege and my black child is not. I do not love one child more than another. I have 4 children. I'm very aware that each child is a unique individual and they are dealt with in different ways - ways that are appropriate to their individual needs.

AJ's white child will not be stared at and asked all sorts of stupid questions when she is with her parent(s), as the other children are. The other children are adopted and have different issues than a child who is born into a family. As an adoptive parent...especially a trans-racial adoption (sorry that's the term that is used...I didn't create it), most of us are very aware of the differences that we experience. Then there are also differences between international and domestic adoptions and the things that families face. I would assume that AJ is doing things to make sure to promote her other children's cultures in their lives. That's not something that many bio parents have to concern themselves with.

The bottom line is that there are differences. I've read many statements from MANY adoptive parents who then had bio kids about their concerns about treating all of their children equally. In that regard, it's similar to a parent who is having a 2nd child and concerned that they can't possibly love another child as much as they love their first. Some people who had bio kids first were concerned that they may not love their adopted child as much as their bio kids. People have concerns and issues that come up. Unfortunately though some people like to twist what is said and make it into something it's not.

I don't know AJ - maybe she really is some sort of awful person who prefers one child over another. But maybe....just maybe...what was said was not what people are thinking it is.

But it begs to question, why would she, or ANY parent raise one child differently from the others. Her political correctness doesn't impress me, if one child ends up unbalanced.

Ok well first - her children do have special needs. They may not be the type of special needs that you may think of - but they definitely have special needs. You may not realize this but actually in the US simply by being a black child....they are special needs child (I'm betting most don't realize this) Her other children were adopted and simply because of the way that they came to her they have different needs than her biological child has. Adopted children often will have issues of abandonment and bonding issues. I'm not going to go into a whole lesson on all the issues that people have experienced with adopting children internationally - especially those who are not new born infants. You are welcome to do the research yourself.

I missed the quote about her saying she loved any child less. Parents bond with each child differently.

As far as privilege goes - that's another conversation that would be a valuable one to have. White privilege definitely exists. If you aren't aware of it - again it may be a good idea to do some research. I'm guessing that's what she's talking about. And yes there is a huge difference between a child who has had the experience of living in a 3rd world country and a child that is born into extreme white wealth in the US.

R - you and I have had these conversations. There are differences. Doing black hair is very different than doing white hair. My white children will not have to deal with being called a N....they may get called a N lover. You know there are differences - come on now.

It's not about being PC. It's about dealing with each child's needs. You don't raise your son exactly the same as you raise your daughter...even if they are both black.
