That's disgusting, this is exactly what I'm talking about, all she will end up doing is turning her daughter against her adoptive siblings and end up with an unbalanced child.

It's a self hating attitude gone to exstremes, If it was me I would be pleased that my daughter was born privaledged, that I could give her everything she ever wanted within reason.

Children in all familys should be treated the same, it's hard to be fair when there is more than one, my boy always does a little better when it comes to toys and things but I always make it up to my daughter when he is at school.

Oh Christ, she makes a lighthearted observation about the difference between her biological offspring and her adopted children, and it's taken as an indictment of her maternal skills.

    Get a life people.

Not an observation, she clearly says she treats them differently.

You know what! if she came out and said that about her adoptive children or that she treats the girl better than the rest, there would be an outcry, but she tells us she treats her own child coldly compared to them, and that's ok is it?

It's an idiotic way to raise a child, make them feel guilty about being privaledged, before they are even aware of colour and money. :???:

Maybe everybody has a "favourite" son or daughter, but why should they be influenced by their color? Stupid thing.

Being a mom, I felt the same way after reading it, which is why I remembered her saying that. Something like that hits you and you don't forget it.

Hell yeah there would have been an outcry if it were the other way around.

I'm sure if she said Zahara, because she's black,is the outcast of the family, you'll would have the same reaction.LOL.
But it's just a blond blue eyed girl, like her own mother said,so it's not a problem here.
    Thanks for proving my point.

Did you first hear of this article while you were still practicing your white supremist beliefs? I only ask because you are reading a whole lot into pretty much nothing. When she starts off the outcast comment, she says "its funny" meaning it is a family joke to them. And she specificly says she is will make sure to not ignore her daughters needs. Personally, I think your white supremist leanings are coloring your perception.

How much you wanna bet sites like racist site are blowing that article up just like you are? Shall we check?

Because she is not influnced by their skin color but by their needs which are different.

Ok,so only a WS would find this inapropriate?Ok then.Funny thing is that I think you'll be one of the first to condamn it if this would be about Zahara, I'm sure it wouldn't be "funny" in the least if that were the case.
And I didn't comment on the outcast thing, that's what the blogger said, I only posted the full article without any comment from my part.

I had a problem with what Jolie said too, and I've never been one.

The problem I have is that every child needs love and needs to be taken care of, and if she has to "consciously" remember to take care of her daughter's needs, that's a problem - in my opinion.

I wouldnt condemn it if it were reversed because I grew up with a brother who was special needs. He got more attention because he NEEDED more attention. She specificly said in her article that her adopted kids have issues that require special attention because of their origins. Who knows what they are? I sure dont because I am raising her kids.

But by all means lets pretend it is because her biological child has blond hair and blue eyes.

I came from a very large family, and as I said in the earlier post, we also had a brother who took most of my mothers attention. As a child I didnt like him getting the majority of my mothers attention, but as an adult (especially since he died before reaching 16) I understand. He got more attention because he genuinely needed more attention.

Sorry to hear about you're brother,in this case it's understandable, but from what you say he got more "attention" not more "love".
And AJ's adopted kids don't have special needs,I think,so there's no reason for her to treat them differently but she makes it clear she should not only give them more attention but also "love" them more.
She also made it clear that her daughter was born "privileged" (whatever that means rich, famous, white - she was the one who brought her daughter's looks in the equation not me when trying to explain her attitude) and thats the reson she feels she has to love her less. She has "ideological" resons for that but shes kind enough to "not forget" her childs needs.
I just hope that wouldn't affect the relations between the little ones on the long term.

Thepolice- you are reading too much into this shit. Jolie is not treating shiloh differently because he has blonde hair and blue eyes. Zahara is HIV positive and lost both of her parents to AIDS in a poor third world country. The boys; I believe Maddox came from Cambodia and Pax from Vietnam Orphanage. So as Fly girl pointed out to you earlier, these kids have special needs. So give Angelina a fucken break, she just lightly stated that her biological kids are fortunate and blessed while her adopted kids have baggage. That is all.
God bless Jolie and her whole family, she is giving three disadvantaged kids a hella of opportunity in life. Instead of criticizing her, why don't you send money to her humanitarian work.

Ok, I appologize if anyone was offended, maybe I shouldn't have posted this here, I only did it bacause Saty asked for the links and article.
But I still stand behind what I've said.
And Zahara doesn't have HIV,none of her adopted kids is sick or has special needs, they just come from unprivileged environments, but I guess that must be enough to make the difference.

I thought I had read that too about Zahara, but she's not HIV positive.

Just for the record...this was taken from online from an interview after Shiloh was born:

Jolie, who said she and Brad Pitt would adopt their next child, also spoke about the relief she felt last year upon learning that Zahara, whom she’d adopted from Ethiopia, was not HIV positive as were many of the children she’d also considered taking home.
