If you had twins: one black & One white.....

Lets pretend you had twins, one pure black and one pure white. Who would you prefer??...... honestly.

This is not a malikom-type thread. Im just curious as ive recently conducted a critical analysis on white women that have biracial kids….and what ive discovered is astounding.

Actually, Im currently studying (leisure pursuit) a young lady who is in her late 20’s and she has 3 kids: 2 are white and 1 is mixed. I don’t know if it’s just her but what ive noted primarily about her is that she did this (i.e having a black kid) predominantly to satisfy her own sense of self. It is as if the average white woman who dates black men have a desire to fulfill themselves for whatever incentive through an interracial relationship. Her father [it seems] also mistreats the lil black infant and she does nothing about it……(my observations)

Furthermore, what ive also noticed is that there are white women who simply despise (loath) blacks, whether they have black kids or not.

I know a white woman who married a really dark skinned (highlight *dark skinned*) black man because she enjoyed the fact that he groveled at her feet (not foot fetish) and treated her like a queen. She also pretended to relate to other blacks because they were so appreciative when she did so. Yet, she constantly referred to her husband as "my black husband" and her scorn for blacks manifested in her mistreatment of her own children. She had 2 lil children, one close to her own complexion (i.e VERY light skinned black), and the other much darker. The light one it seemed was treated like royalty and waited on hand and foot. Permitted to jump all over the furniture, throw tantrums, run through the house, and break window pains and mirrors at will. Her only reaction was to sweetly plead, "come to mama honey, pleasse, youre going to get hurt.." However, the darker child was treated with relentless cruelty, verbally abused, and severely beaten with wire clothes hangers and belts by her daily for next to nothing.

Is this a coincidence?? I don’t know. I have another survey on Monday night….we’ll see how that goes.

But still,,,considering the fact that parents tend to have preferences for their children (academically, athletically, etc). The question is: is it racist for a white woman to prefer her white kids over her black ones??.....thats the question

    Class dismissed

I've wondered about this, but could it not go the other way aswell, Mixed kids aren't uncommon here, I see many women walking down the highstreet with usually 2 older full white kids then one younger mixed kid.

In my exsperience the white kids always look a lil ragged, where you will see the mixed kid, wearing more carefully chosen clothes, colours matched that kinda thing.
Also makes me wonder about the effect of growing up in a family where all your siblings/blood relations are white, do they develope a feeling of isolation whithin the brother sister group?

As to favouritism it's not unheard of in all familys, my brother was the yougest and also the 1st boy, even now grown man that he is, my parents will show him a bit too much attention, put plans aside of there own to do things for him. that is favouritism!

I'm not gonna say what you put is bullshit, I exspect there are quite a few people out there who do this with there kids, due to there own self hate, but be aware that the is an equal amount of light skinned mixed children who will be penalised because they are not black enough!
I know of one situation where that is definitely true, a friend of mine is herself mixed and this is what she exsperienced in her faamily. :smt009

cant say ive ever noticed favoritism along racial lines, but just with other familys im sure some parents do favor one child over others

with older kids thou they tend to dress themselves. my older sister dressed terribly, allways looked ragged, still does where as me and my younger sis liked to dress well.

my wee girl is mixed and im anal retentive about how she is dressed, childs got more clothes then mothercare and she always has to match but i wouldnt put that down to her ethnicity

I don't think I would prefer one child over the other. Not because of skin-colour anyway. Sometimes one bonds more to one person than another, I'm sure that goes for parents as well, even though we'd all prefer it not to be so.

As you know, my son is biracial. I don't think it would be possible to love him more. Like the others here, I too am picky about his appearances. I feel bad for saying this, but I think I am more picky than I would be if he was white.

Here most people don't really care how expensive clothes one gives to a baby/toddler though. But you'll get a lot of respect as a mother, if your child has a lot of handmade clothes...

I get comments and praise on all my son's hand knitted clothes on a daily basis. I started knitting for him as soon as I knew I was pregnant, and felt it was important for me to do do, but didn't understand why, until a nurse at the local clinic said to me "your son always have such beautifully knitted clothes. He's a very lucky boy to be so highly treasured". That's when I realised that in my culture handmade = love. I guess because everyone can afford to buy almost whatever clothes they want for their children, it has instead become a matter of who have the time and knowledge to sit down and make something...:D

oh my God - I hope nobody ever treats their children like this - how can she favour one child to another? that woman should be told not to do that to her own kids (by her husband or friend of a family who has Monday appointments with them? ) ;) and panished soemhow for this behavior! :smt079

I've heard that also. Some american friends told me that in US some liberals take white guilt so far that they prefer the mixt or black kids to the white ones. There was an article some time ago with Jolie saying someth like she feels she has to love more her adopted children then her biological one cause they are minorities and from empoverished countries while her own daughter was born white, rich and privileged. She evan admitted she treats her own child, Shiloh, colder then the other kids. If she would have said that about a black kid, well the story would have been completely different and I can't even imagine how many ppl would be outraged, but Shiloh is white so I gues it's ok.

:smt085That's pretty fucked up. It's like she's going out of her way to denigrate her biological child just because she's white.

I like her as an actress, but she's off her rocker here. You can like and associate with other races, but you shouldn't dislike your own race, and definitely not your own child, just to prove how enlightened you are

From what I've seen about Hollywood types, I'm pretty sure Jolie would say something like that

    Transcript from one article:
Angelina Jolie sat down with Look and gave the most candid interview about Shiloh to date according to Female First
Angelina said: "She looks like Brad. It's funny because she's almost going to be the outcast in the family because she's blonde and blue-eyed."
The 32-year-old actress also revealed she feels "more" of a connection to her adopted children Maddox, six, Pax, three, and two-year-old Zahara, than she does to "privileged" 18-month-old Shiloh.Angelina explained to Look magazine: "I felt so much more for Madd, Zahara and Pax because they were survivors.Shiloh seemed so privileged from the moment she was born. But I'm conscious that I have to make sure I don't ignore her needs, just because I think the others are more vulnerable."
I am speechless that someone can say something so horrible about their own child. I don't care how much good she does for others after reading what she said about her biological child I have lost all respect for her. That is just disgusting and sad, poor Shiloh. Maybe that is why we haven't seen her in a while…Angelina Jolie doesn't want to be seen her with her little outcast.
Hopefully this was taken out of context.
