^^^^ Yeah, the Celtics-Bulls game was pretty good. Good job by the Bulls to pull that one out. This might go 7

Im glad the Cavs moved on today. Good win in Detroit. Round 2 awaits

the only reason the bulls won that game was because the referee gave it to them in the last 26 seconds of double overtime...that wasn't a foul they called on pierce resulting in two free throws...pierce was out of bounds...it should have been a throw in play...good game but i would have preferred the celtics win...

cavs vs. pistons game was pretty sad to watch...sorry to see the pistons get swept but sure glad they sent chauncey back to his hometown to help out the nuggets :smt026

True. It should have been an out of bounds call on Pierce. But as long as the Bulls win, it's all good. It's all about match ups.

That Bulls vs. Celtics game was hilarious. The Celtics thought they wanted to win it, but they really didn't. How else could you explain some of the stupid things they were doing out there? Rondo WALKING the ball up the court with 18 seconds left, down 3, with no timeouts left? Brian Scalabrine getting a clear path foul with 30 seconds left? Paul Pierce missing ANOTHER clutch free throw that could have sealed the game? Gosh, give credit to the Bulls though. They're definitely capitalizing on all the choking that the C's are doing.

Oh yeah. I forgot about the clear path foul. I didn't even know what one was until today.

Scalabrine should have known better. Anyway, i thought the Bulls would win today, i just didn't know in what fashion. I would have rather had the C's get blown out than to lose like that. I have a feeling this series will end in six, but 7 is a real possibility.

Congrats on the Lakers win last night. Utah just can't match their size, the same way that most teams can't. I'm also curious to see what the Lakers do in the off-season, now that Shannon Brown is playing well off the bench. Do they sign him and trade Farmar? Do they sign Ariza or Odom?

Hey Dex, i'm thankful that your Cavaliers put the Pistons out of their misery. Wow, what a sad, sad day for Detroit basketball. They go from being in the conference finals like 5 years in a row to getting swept in the first round. I really hate to see a team just lay down and die like they did without even putting up a fight. They deserved to be put out of their misery.

You're right Bryant. The Pistons have fallen very hard and far from where they used to be. It's kinda sad for them, but hey. They were in our way. It's like survival of the fittest. They weren't as fit as we were. They had to go. We're moving on to round 2

I think you guys are gonna end up playing Miami in the second round. D-Wade vs. LBJ. How do you like that matchup Dex?

I say keep Odom. Don't know what players they plan on moving around, but Odom stays. Fuck that trade shit with O.

That's just the game of basketball. Look at the kings. They used to be a very good team. Still weren't championship material, but still a good team. It was exciting, I must admit, during the Adalman era of the Kings. Now look at them. 4 coaches in 2 years?

    Keep Ariza and Odom.

As for Farmar and Brown.. I dunno.

I am more pleased with Brown's game as of lately.

You're right Ajax. They've really fallen off the deep end. It's a totally different team from 7 years ago

I'm sure the Lakers would like to sign both Odom and Ariza, but the NBA Salary cap is 71 mil, and they are already over that amount for this season. What's going to hurt the Lakers chances of signing both Odom and Ariza, is Luke Walton and Sasha Vujacic's contracts (who are both earning over 5 mil a year for the next 3 years).

Because Ariza is now starting, he's going to command about a 6 or 7 mil a year contract, which is a major upgrade over what he's making right now, which is only 2 mil a year. Lamar Odom is going to probably seek a deal worth around 8-10 per year as well, which would put the Lakers well over the luxury tax. They also have to worry about re-signing Josh Powell, DJ MBenga, and Shannon Brown, all of whom are free agents after the season.

So basically, the Lakers have 3 players who are at or near max salaries (Bryant, Gasol, and Bynum) and they already have 4 other players who are making 5 mil a year (Walton, Vujacic, Fisher, Morrison). With the way the teams salary is currently constructed, they are more than likely to only pay to keep either Ariza or Odom and not both. I'm just wondering which one it will be, because i think both players are very important to their success.

Fuckin' dammit, Luke. Last thing we need is ANOTHER injury. One Lakers comes back, another one gets taken out.
