oh, y'all don't know who Raja Bell is? Kobe fans know who Raja Bell is....He's cemented in Kobe history for this one play: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7V8ZukXsWmk Raja is a good player..it was a shame he got traded to the Bobcats..he was a great accesory to the Suns...Terry Porter just had no use for him
Raja is cool & his wife's a cutie but I never liked what he did to Kobe as well as what he said about him afterwards either.
So you say but look at where their respective careers are now as well as their current teams & his former team.:smt019
Yeah. Great ol' Kobe. Despite all of his talent he can only win something when his team is STACKED. Kobe could never get the Lakers to a Finals on his own, like LeBron, without fellow All-Stars and a Hall of fame coach. Sorry if I don't drink the kool-aid. And I never claim Bell was anything special. But he and the Suns took the Lakers out back-to-back. That made me happy.
Before we let this develop into another Kobe vs Lebron debate, can we all just stick to the topic - the girl is cute, period!
Yeah but after all of that what did they do with it but end up at home watching the finals just like us. And where is Kobe now despite the coach & team that he has for whatever reasons, on his way to possibly another NBA title and the B'BALL HALL OF FAME for sure! :smt042
Didn't know Raja was in an IR relationship. I kind of figured he would be considering he's IR himself, amirite?
Heck no. We're on to something more important, bro. :smt042 [/quote] Hey, without a doubt the would-be-rapist is a Hall of Fame talent. A special talent indeed. I've never disputed that. I've just disputed all the MJ comparisons. Look at the fg%, look at the steals, look at the wins. MJ never played with anyone as good as Shaq and he still kicked ass in a way Kobe never has. And he did so against superior competition. MJ, even in his pre Pippen years with the Bulls, would have not gotten kicked out of the playoffs by Bell and the Suns (especially not with a 3-1 lead!). MJ's Bulls would have not been shown up on TV in the Finals as Kobe's Lakers were against the Pistons and the Celtics. Period. Kobe can imitate MJ all he wants but in the end he is pale imitation. And I hate MJ too. But I'll give that man his props of being THE BEST. But like I said my point was not about what Raja and the Suns ultimately did not win. I was instead pointing out that I was damn please that they gave Kobe ("I wanna be the star and don't need Shaq") what he truly deserved those years.
Kobe = the most complete offensive player in the history of the game and, right now, the fourth best player ever behind 1. Magic/Kareem (tie) 2. Jordan and 3. Wilt. And that championship is coming home to Los Angeles, where it belongs.
His fg% is too low (relatively speaking) to be considered the most complete offensive player in the history of the game. And his assists aren't high enough either; especially considering all the years he spent with Shaq that 1) gave him plenty of open looks and 2) the best teammate possible to drop "dimes" playing with. And I would still put him behind Bird because Bird was more clutch. And he's behind Shaq too. Shaq went to the finals with three different teams and in all the championships he won with Kobe it was Shaq who was voted MVP. Plus he still has one more championship ring than Kobe. Lets be fair here. And its nice that Kobe will likely win that championship this post season. But lets not forget that MJ never lost during the Finals.
:smt038 Well said Jamal. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion, but man, i just can't understand how people can ignore the facts. Kobe has never shot over 50 percent from the field in his ENTIRE career. Michael Jordan did it 6 TIMES. Kobe has a career ppg average of 26 per game, while Michael averaged over 30 for his career. Kobe averages 24 ppg in the playoffs (which is actually LOWER than his season average) while Michael averaged 33 ppg in the playoffs, which was obviously higher than his season average. What else? Michael Jordan has led the league in scoring 10 TIMES , while Kobe has only accomplished this TWICE. I probably wouldn't hate on Kobe as much as i do, if people wouldn't constantly overrate him so much.
this is what happen when I post sumthin' about athletes...no matter how cute the wife /girlfriend ..mofos start debating sports like world affairs..smh
Now notice how we went from what Raja did and the Suns didn't do on the court to bringing my homie MJ into the mix in order to put down Kobe!:smt072
