One thing I do before I die, is to visit Mozambique, Johannesburg, Kenya, and Zimbabwe. I will be there.

Nice choices apart from Jo'burg & Zimbabwe. You might die there.

You should add Botswana on your list..not as dangerous!

As its a cultural exchange thought I would add an African classic: YEKE YEKE.
Not 100% sure, but think this guy is from Guinea. Its actually one of the few worldwide African hits.

i kind of like jo'burg... but you're right, it's not very safe. However, if one is there, I recommend taking a cab to Soweto (to see Mandela's house for instance). I wouldn't want anyone to stroll around there on their own though...

if one is in the neighbourhood (Jo'burg) I would also recommend stopping by Swaziland and Mozambique of course :D

Talking about cultural exchange. We're going to Cameroon next month. We'll stay there for 3 months. I'm going to spend a great deal of time with my in-laws, so I pray I don't offend them too much with my ignorance and silly western habits. LOL.
    Wish me luck!

Yeah, have fun in Cameroon. Three months is a pretty long time though, I am sure you will offend the inlaws at least once, while you are there. You gonna be brave Ronja and try out all the local delicacies, you know the bushmeat etc..they may be offended if you dont!
I'm sure your French will improve(assuming they speak french in the part you visiting) in the three months you are there.

My family are anglophones, and live in anglophone cameroon. And even my hb's grandmothers speak perfect English (with some accent of course). I don't speak a single word french, but am considering learning some while being there. I think it'll be hard though, cause my father in law has set his mind into teaching me Bafut.:smt081 I think one new language might be enough for three months. My pidgin will probably improve as well.

I am sure I will insult them, probably more than once. I'm pretty sure they'll insult me too though. LOL. I just hope we can talk about the situations that comes up, and try to understand each others views. Also, I'll try really hard to shut up and always think before i speak. That's going to be a challenge :smt081

I eat anything, but prefer it not to be endangered. I wouldn't really enjoy eating any species of monkeys either. I'm sure I'll try several local delicacies though, for instance cane rat.

Also, I plan on getting a traditional outfit for myself. Assuming I can find a fabric I like...
