Well these forums seem kind of dead so I'm bringing life to it. Old topics still linger and we need some new ones.

Afraid to approach someone of another race?
Has this happen to you. Be honest. It happens to me all the time. I have seen alot of attractive women of other races in my lifetime but hesitant to approach. White, Asian, I especially don't approach them unless they have a I like Black Men kind of look.

You know what Im talking about fellas. Hip-hop earrings, urban clothes, street swag, type girl. As soon as she talks you know she likes Black guys. It's hard for me personally to talk a women of another race if I dont see any clues she likes Black guys.

Honestly I regret it because now I will never know what could have been....

So has this happen to anyone please share.

    P.S
It doesn't have to be Black guys or White women any guy or women of another race.

Well not really, in fact i'd say definately not because the ones that are really hip hop'd out I don't talk to at all. So the ones that you are talking about are the ones that I talk to the most probably.

The reason its not hard is because I talk to them casually at first anyway. I don't appraoch with stupid shit like "yo ma can I holla at you" I approach casually and like a man.

A consider myself a pretty well put together guy that isn't "threatening" so in the rare case that I get rejected thats probably not the kind of girl I want to get to know anyway.

Those are the type of girls I would never date. I’ve encountered a few in the past and, many (Not all) are looking more for a guy that follows persona they project. Our thought patterns differ far too great.

Girls like that into that category is not my cup of tea…

I take it the ones you do fancy do not fit the example you posted above? You may want to have a wingman that will enable you to venture outside your area. It will also help you to grow accustomed or for a better term of words comfortable to the type of girls you do find attractive.

    Please read my reply above.

I actually encountered a somewhat similar experience when I was in grade school. However, I realised my problem was resolved once I started to venture out alone. I am one of those type of guys that meet girls solo.

Under your conditions, you may need to find a wingman.

    Cheers!

LoL, "I like Black Men kind of look," that really cracked me up. What is that? Just curious. You know, I'm sure most of the women here, including myself, don't have hip-hop earrings, urban clothes, street swag, etc. I also have seen women who do have those traits and are quite racist and proud of it.
    Just some food for thought.

And no, I'm not afraid to approach anyone in any way, shape, or form. :)

Never been afraid to approach a woman outside my race no matter the nationality. Wigger-acting white girls turn me off so I wouldn't be approaching them at all. Since I don't look like I just robbed somebody they wouldn't be interested in me either.

LOL- those are EXACTLY the ones I avoid. I have a lot of military friends and professional basketball player friends (pros here in Europe, that is) who all married girls they met at the NCO clubs down in southern Germany, and took them back to the U.S. with them. Most of those girls (certainly not all!) had some really rough edges and are back here in Germany now, sans husband. That's one thing I like about this part of Europe-while you have some people who are huge fans of what they believe to be "black culture", most are unfamiliar with said culture and the corresponding stereotypes that accompany it more times than not. I met all of my girlfriends in school or at work, so it was no big deal for me to approach them and ask them out. I don't know how things are in the states these days, but this strategy works fine in Germany, no matter what color you are!

I know what you're talking about. In my area we used to have a few US Army bases and I've seen numerous girls that associated Afroamericans with grills, rap, chains hanging low and pants, too, talking slang and no decent guy who didn't match that description would have a chance with them.
Most of them brought it to a perfection concerning slang talking themselves.Lol.
I myself am involved with a guy in the US Airforce but i don't like those "rap video" type of guys so I picked one who's different.Lol

Why is that is it because the way they happen to act and stuff? But yeah as far as approaching yeah, if I don't get no eye contact with them or if they look at me and look away less then 2-4 seconds then I tend to just move on.. But if I happen to run into one like I did the other day, she wanted to know the hours of a school gym and stuff, so we talked a little bit, I think is way more easier for the girl to approach the guy for some reason maybe just me..

hell yeah I'm scared. there's always that stigma with women of different races with me, I'm scared of rejection anyway. and being rejected becasue you're black is the worst feeling ever and its happened to me more than once. and i'm always like damn i should have said something.

Maybe you're being rejected 'cause you might not be her type, not because you're black.
