*Before Carla Bruni became French First Lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, she was a supermodel who dated such veteran rockers as Eric Clapton and Mick Jagger. But was Lenny Kravitz part of her dating history as well?

In Paris to promote the 20th anniversary of his debut album "Let Love Rule," Kravitz admitted to reporters that he and Bruni-Sarkozy were long-time acquaintances, reports Reuters. But when pressed on how he knew the ex-model and socialite, Kravitz only smiled and repeated: "I know Carla from back in the day."
The nature of their relationship apparently has no bearing on President Nicolas Sarkozy, who is a fan of Kravitz's and sent him a note that singled out some of his favorite songs from the artist.
"I have a nice letter from your president," Kravitz told reporters in a studio on the outskirts of town. "Wow, I was, like, 'you listened to the record!'"
Kravitz kicks off his European tour on April 17 with a concert in Caen, in the north of France.

you know what, I think Lenny was just promoting his album..he probably knows her,that wouldn't surprise me, but to say he fuck her...I've seen Lenny dodge questions about fucking Kate Hudson just because she was married at the time to Chris Robinson..you know, being diplomatic...so I don't seewhy he wouldn't extend the same courtesy to Carla....he's promoting his album..that's all.
