I didn't start liking Metallica until they cut their hair and started wearing Versace ("King Nothing" era). Right around the time the real fans started saying they were going down.
I was a bandjumper after the Black album came out (I've bought that album 4-5 times over the last 10 years in dubbed,cassette and CD form) , then went and bought their entire back catalog...seen them in concert only once.
