Does it annoy you? I hate when im watching the news, and they interview a bunch of ghetto folks in a urban area, very embarrassing. Also many of these athletes talk as if they have shit for brains.
Not everyone can speak eloquently in front of a camera, stop judging. Trust me talking to yourself/friends, and talking to a camera with questions being asked to you is very hard, and people get nervous stutter etc.
Its not about stuttering Its about speaking the english language properly Stop with the excuses, the same folks that butcher the english language with a camera infront of their faces, are the same ones to do so without it. If you are a grown man,you should speak english properly There is a particular mentality within the Black community(especially with the youth) that is poisonous I cant recollect the number of times ive heard blacks scold other blacks for "talking white" just because they spoke properly
Bare in mind a Man or Woman’s circle of friends will play a part on how he or she pronounces certain syllables. If you have ever dated a girl with a heavy accent for around a month or so, chances are, you will say a few words with a heavy accent unconsciously. Slang’s do not annoy me providing the person is educated to get his or her message across. Speech pronunciation and being smart are two different things, which many lump into one entity. How one chooses to speak in general is a part of their personality. Some will adapt to the environment and, change their whole speech pattern in order for others to feel comfortable. Whereas others will express their thoughts as they would around their circle of friends. Typically, sports stars are recruited for their athletic ability. Not, based on their educational skills. Cheers!
I will blame Microsoft for not catching my typographical error when using my native vocabulary as a default. I would imagine it is common like the word alot when it is really a lot. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. Cheers!
Yes, it annoys me. Here in Australia we have a group of people known as 'bogans'. Oh how I wish I could correct their every word, but I'm too polite. LOL It pains me to talk to a woman from a class I'm taking. She's pure bogan and speaks in the most horrific way. Oh...my...gods. I'm a snob when it comes to bogans. I don't mind westie or okka (ie: steve irwin) accents...but bogan gets on my nerves. "Loik, yeah, loik, I seen this chick the other day that loik had the most ugliest pahtnah. Loik he was a bykee or sumfin'." (this was an actual sentence said to me by a bogan). Oh....MY....GODS! :smt101 I should just clarify that it's the 'way they talk' that annoys me. Most of the people themselves are lovely. But the way they speak makes my ears bleed.
I can't stand people who can't speak correct italian. I don't judge people who didn't have the opportunity to study and improve, but I hate when people with a degree can't even use conditionals and congiuntivi (another italian tense). I would make exaples but oh, nobody would understand, lol. I am annoyed by english mistakes too, but it's not that I can say anything, since I'm italian, and I do make mistakes too lol. I do notice a lot of mistakes though, but most of all I notice them in the written form. What's up with the thing of writing the apostrophe before the s in the plural form, like it's the saxon genitive? "what's up my botha'S". Other things I keep seeing and that make my eyes kind of explode every time: - WomEN, used in a singular form. - There isntead of they're. - Your instead of your're. One time I argued witha guy because he kept stating that a false statement is a LYE, not a LIE. Oh, well...
