Great win by the Lakers yesterday, but if only they can keep going like this! If there's one thing the gold-and-purple squad lack, for all of their talents, its spine. They can be somewhat erratic. For example, they've played well against the big guns this year, beating the Celts twice now, beating the Cavs one and the Spurs. However, they've lost to the Pacers, Wizards and other bottom feeders in the league. Most of these games they easily could have won.

They need to have that quest that the Celts have if they are going to rein supreme in the summer.

    I couldn't agree more.

I would like to see some consistency in the Laker's tenacity.

    Saty, LC and Socal,

Y'all know the deal! What mo' needs to be said? Nothin'! Well nothing except it's 'bout time Lamar stepped his punk ass up.

I'm not even interested in the rest of the regular season because we all know this will be another East Coast / West Coast finals.

Thank God, Lamar stepped up last night.

He can be a much bigger factor than he realizes.

As long as everyone is healthy, we have a shot at the title.

This Sunday has been sweet as hell as far as basketball is concerned. First, San Antonio beat the Lakers' nemesis, on their own home court. Now, i don't have anything against the Celts per se, but as they say, the enemy of my enemy is my friend. And so i always root for anyone who plays against the Celtics.

And then, the Lakers themselves put on a show of their own and end the Cavs' unbelievable home court streak. Now it wasn't a showdown between Kobe and Lebron - much to the chagrin of my fawning press - but i don't care, the Cavs have lost their record.

Sweet! All in all, i've been impressed by the Lakers' zeal and their overall never-say-die attitude lately. They've been coming back in the 4th quarter with so much style, thanks (mostly) to Mr. MVP of course. Of course, they still have work to do. They have to stop letting bottom feeders coming to Los Angeles and making things tight. Lamar Odom and Pau Gasol need to minimise to foul trouble to give them more time of the floor to cause more damage. Most importantly, they need to improve their defensive tenacity. They need their big men to shut down opposing pivots and since they have tough defensive stoppers in Kobe, Farmar and Ariza, they'll be able to get more transition points and win big games.

But overall, big ups. They've essentially beaten every team there is to beat in the league to be considered a contender. Then again, who ever douted the Lakers are contenders.

SoCal, the Lakers really can do it. We just gotta have hope and ride it out till June.

Lakers need to get on the good foot and seal the deal as the best record holders on the West Coast.

    ???

Did you see the Lakers play Houston and San Antonio this past week?

More importantly, did you see the two Lakers/Cavs games?

Who is the only team to hang a loss on Cleveland at home this season?

The only team capable of beating the Fakers in a 7 game series is the Celtics. Cleveland has no post offense, and no post defense with Wallace out.

So if Cleveland is somehow able to knock out the champs and get to the finals, Fakers are winning it in 5.
