Whew!! I'm glad I'm not the only one who likes that name.

I first heard it in an 80s movie called Near Dark....

Anyway, when I was pregnant, I wasn't budging on that name, if it was a boy. My family told me that they were secretly hoping I had a girl. (Which I did)

Really? I thought it was quite traditional - celtic...
Nothing weird about it at all...

Pitty my cousin stole it as her kids 2nd name. Now I can't use it...

I should also add that I immensely dislike non-traditional spellings or made up names, or the names of places.

I know, I like Roman too. Only when it's pronounced in the Russian way though, not Roman like the Romans :p

Oh? How is it pronounced differently? Maybe I'll like that name better then.

Play the first option, 'Roman Pavlyuchenko' and ignore the Pavlyuchenko bit :)
With Russian, it's not so much 'row-man,' but more 'ro-man' like the 'ro' in 'rory.'
    I hope that makes sense!

Well for boys, I'm having a D name fetish right now. I always think about names, but I change my mind as soon as I come up with them. I remember when I was 15 or 16, I wanted to name a boy Zyrell, heh. I already know what I'm naming my first son, because his name is going to include names from my man's family. So his first name is going to be Lawrence and his middle name is going to be Mitchell (my man's middle name). Lawrence is my man's deceased mother's maiden name. So, Lawrence Mitchell and my man's last name which I will not share. I shared the whole name with DH and she said it sounds like a CEO's name or something, heh. And I used to know this BM whose middle name was Lavell and I liked that too. I might steal it for a middle name if I have more than one boy. For girls I like the name Aryana. At one time I liked the girl name Vianna too. My man didn't like that though and said he wasn't naming his daughter after a sausage, I'm like, "That's not how you pronounce it!", oh well. He likes the name "Nala" for a girl, but I don't want to name my daughter after a cartoon lion. I do think it sounds pretty though. My man and I have brainstormed sooo many names for so many years, but I don't remember hardly any now. It's been a while since I've thought of any names. I think I'll start again.

Girls' names: Emily, Bridget, Iris, Jacinda

    Boys' names: Jude, Atticus, Yuri

The first three girls' names I like because they are literary names (Emily Bronte, Bridget Jones, Iris Murdoch) and the boys' names (Jude the Obscure by Thomas Hardy, Atticus Finch, Yuri Zhivago)

Not that I plan to have anymore but you never know. I like Annaleah don't know if thats how to spell it. But that doesn't look right, looks kinda like anal. But I like the way it sounds. The other name I heard someone call their dog. They called her Jilly but said her name is Jillian. But Jilly sounded cute. Can't think of any boy names. So I would have to have a girl if I had another. Someone here has a pretty cool first name but I don't wanna get in trouble for saying too much. But it is 4:30am & I'm being silly at work. I get real talkative when I'm sleepy & laugh at anything.
