In other words, when is it "his fault"?

I keep on noticing, that when talking about the economy he keeps on reminding people that he inherited all of this mess

I agree with him, however,he cant use this excuse forever....

WTF? What do you mean "use this excuse 'forever'?" He's been in office for under two months. And in case you haven't noticed, it's not just the US. Thanks to years and years of unfettered free trade, not only have we shipped our entire manufacturing base to other countries, but our economy is inextricably linked to the global market which has essentially collapsed. We now have genius investors and financiers like Warren Buffet and George Soros saying that there's no telling where the market will bottom out or how long this mess will last. In other words, the catastrophic crash that started last fall (before Obama's inauguration) still isn't over yet.

The question that needs to be addressed here should not be how long can Obama keep making "excuses." First we must know what exactly you expect him or anyone else to do inside of the first six months a term to clean up this mess.

What makes you think he will?

When he fucks up I guess. He's a president. He'll catch blame from somewhere no matter what. Eh, whatever.

Malikom has a not-so-subtle agenda to his threads IMO.

For homework, go to his profile and click on "posts started by malikom". Look at many of the topics and see if you can determine a general trend.

For extra credit, derive an analysis of the trend and share your thoughts.

Give him two years. If he does not turn it around then dump him along with that worthless Congress and Senate. Need a massive cleansing in government. If history truly repeats itself, I see a repeat of 1994 coming for the the Congress and Senate.

I noticed this, I always wanted to argue with him but I just put him on ignore. Makes the forum a lot more enjoyable. :D

Damn, I wish I was in Portugal right now, the weather up here is just awful.

Lol if I went out like that here I'd be in hospital with hypothermia and they would possibly put me in a mental hospital for being so damn stupid. I thought it was sunny this morning, but I was wrong. I went outside and it was freezing! Damn, Scotland is beautiful but too cold.

We can start blaming or praising Obama for his actions in his final year of his current term in office.

The first report card for US presidents is typically the Congressional elections at the two-year mark. The number of seats gained or lost by the party of the POTUS is usually viewed as a defacto referendum on his performance.

Historically the POTUS will lose a few seats.

I've been cutting back on my drinking to save money for the summer, definitely want to go somewhere fun for at least two weeks.

If there is a honeymoon, when did it even start? :smt017

And you ignored my question. What policies do you expect Obama or anyone else to institute that would reverse the collapse of the global economy and flood every bank in the U.S. with capital to unfreeze the credit markets within two months? And exactly what is Obama to blame for in this current mess?

If you just don't like the guy and want to shit all over him without any valid reason, then go ahead. You don't need my permission or anyone else's to do that.

Some folks seriously must have forgotten that the man has been in office for less than 3 months. How the fuck can he fix something in such little time when it took more than 28 years for shit to get this fucked up?

These same folks you speak of probably wont mention that it will take the entire country working together as a whole in order for this economy to get fixed, not just one man.

I'll admit, he's a very good politician but he is not Moses.
