On Sunday, February 8th, 2009 at 0025 hours (12:25am), Brown was driving a vehicle with Robyn (Rihanna) as the front passenger on an unknown street in Los Angeles.

Robyn F. picked up Brown's cellular telephone and observed a three page text message from a woman who Brown had a previous sexual relationship with.

A verbal argument ensued and Brown pulled the vehicle over on an unknown street, reached over Robyn w/ his right hand, opened the car door and attempted to force her out. Brown was unable to force Robyn out of the vehicle because she was wearing a seatbelt.

When he could not foce her to exit, he took his right hand and shoved her head against the passenger window of the vehicle causing an approximate one inch raised circular contusion.

Robyn turned to face Brown and he punched her in the left eye with his right hand. He then drove the vehicle further and continued to punch her in the face with his right hand while steering the vehicle with his left hand.

The assault caused Robyn's mouth to fill with blood and which caused blood to spill all over her clothing and the interior of the vehicle.

Brown then looked at Robyn and stated, "I'm going to beat the shit out of you when we get home! You wait and see!"

Robyn picked up her cellular telephone and called her personal assistant, Jennifer at ( 818 ) xxx - xxxx. Jennifer did not answer the telephone but while her voicemail greeting was playing, Robyn pretended to talk to her and stated, "I'm on my way home. Make sure the cops are there when I get there." (This statement was made while the greeting was playing and was not captured as a message).

After Robyn faked the call, Brown looked at her and stated, "You just did the stupidest thing ever! Now I'm really going to kill you!"

Brown resumed punching Robyn and she interlocked her fingers behind her head and brought her elbows forward to protect her face. She then bent over at the waist, placing her elbows and face near her lap in an attempt to protect her face and head from the barrage of punches being levied upon her by Brown.

Brown continues to punch Robyn on her left arm and hand causing her to suffer a contusion on her left triceps that was approximately two inches in diameter and numerous contusions on her left hand.

Robyn then attempted to send a text message to her other personal assistant, Melissa _ _ _ _. Brown snatched the cellular telephone out of her hand and threw it out of the window onto an unknown street.

Brown continued driving and Robyn observed his cellular telephone sitting in his lap. She picked up the cellular telephone with her left hand and before she could make a call he placed her in a headlock with his right hand and continued to drive the vehicle with his left hand.

Brown pulled Robyn close to him and bit her on her left ear.

She was able to feel the vehicle swerving from right to left as Brown was driving frivilously.

He stopped the vehicle in front of _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ and Robyn turned off the car, removed the key from the ignition and sat on it.

Brown did not know what she did with the key and began punching her in the face and arms.

He then placed her in a headlock positioning the front of her throat between his bicep and forearm. Brown began applying pressure to Robyn's left and right carotid arteries causing her to be unable to breathe and she began to lose conciousness. She reached up with her left hand and began attempting to gouge his eyes in an attempt to free herself.

Brown bit her left ring and middle fingers and then released her.

While Brown continued to punch her, she turned around and placed her back against the passenger door. She brought her knees to her chest, placed her feet against Brown's body and began pushing him away. Brown continued to punch her on the legs and feet causing several contusions. Robyn began screaming for help and Brown exited the vehicle and walked away.

A resident in the neighborhood heard Robyn's plea for help and called 911, causing a police response.

An investigation was conducted and Robyn was issued a Domestic Violence Emergency Protective Order (EPO).

 

Magazines didn't care about her and especially him until the beating. It reminds me years ago when People magazine never reported on the Puffy/JLo relationship UNTIL that nightclub incident in which one of Puffy's boys shot a gun (owned by Puffy I believe) in some nightclub. After that People suddenly discovered them and put Puffy and JLo on the cover. The cover story was about how Puffy could be a danger for Jennifer. Some of those magazines don't have any use for a black male celebrity until he makes news in all the wrong ways. That's what happening with Chris now.

Of course that stil doesn't excuse his assinine actions. He needs to stay away from Rhianna. I felt that way for weeks and now after reading that affidavit (thanks, SoCal) I'm totally convinced. That is just plain sick. He has anger issues and needs to get his life together.

 

If that affidavit is entirely correct, his career is over. The only good thing can said about this is that I was never a fan.

He'll always be labeled as a woman beater.

It's disconcerting to see the attitudes of some people on here concerning abuse and blaming the victim. I first heard the rumor about Rihanna having an STD from the 13-year-old girl I tutor. It had been ingrained in her mind that Rihanna must've done something to deserve getting so badly beaten (and this was after the photos surfaced).

Do you know why people say ignorant things like this? Because when they assign blame to the victim, it brings them comfort in thinking, "And that is why this will never happen to me!" This attitude only hurts future victims who think they must've done something to deserve the violence inflicted upon them and may even choose not to report the incident to the authorities.

I asked my high school students to journal about this incident and many wrote how they had experienced this in their lives either personally or with a family member. There were some boys who went as far to call Rihanna a "snitch".

 

Not as disconcerting as the victim staying with the abuser..that's who you should be upset with......what's wrong with her attitude..what's her mindset?
Maybe she's pregnant so she's staying for the child...maybe that's where she's getting her peace of mind.

But please don't blame the outsiders for the "Ima Chris Brown yo' ass!" jokes..we did pop her nor did we tell her to go back to him.

She is back with him for the reasons I mentioned above. Because of our tradition of blaming the victim, she most likely blames herself. She may be 21, but she's still a kid, and so is he. I was really hoping he would get some kind of rehabilitation and/or therapy.

I figured they would get back together before it made the news. They are both in awkward positions publicly. Him as the woman beater, and her as the woman who everyone thinks deserved it. It's not surprising that they got married. They probably think they only have each other. If he went as far as to beat her so badly without concern of public repercussions, he may kill her next time.
