Lady GaGa "Inspired" Akon

Lady GaGa once helped Akon with his writer's block.

The Locked Up hitmaker was once stuck writing a tune for girl group the Pussycat Dolls when he was having a dry spell.
And when Lady GaGa walked into the room with her scantily-clad outfit, Akon had all the inspiration he needed.
He says, "GaGa helped me out with writer's block when I was writing for Pussycat Dolls about a year-and-a-half ago.
"She came into the studio in this crazy outfit with this kooky hair and I was like: 'Are you a writer or an artist?' and she said: 'Both.'
"When we started writing together she just killed it. She could also deliver vocals better than a lot of girls I've worked with.
"I remember thinking: "I've got to sign this woman.'"
He adds, "My focus is now on making sure GaGa's next single does as well as Just Dance and establishing her identity throughout the world.
"We will have a big celebration party at some point, but it's too early right now. There’s still a lot of work to do."

So do you think Akon "hit" the Double G Lady?!

I am gay for GaGa. That tells you how hot she is...I am primarily attracted to hot black guys, but this whitegirl is so sexy to me.

I heard a lot of GaGa's music before I ever saw her, and that was enough to hook me. I love to dance, so her music was like pop candy to my ear. Her irreverent approach to music gets me off. Loves it. Once I saw her...oh lord. Gotta love the crazy whitegirls...right???:smt074

That really is one of the more vulgar things I have seen from a female entertainer. Her momma must be so proud.

 

You must have thought Madonna's Blond Ambition show was pretty bad then! Madonna has been doing "vulgar" things for over 2 decades and catchin' hell for it. You have made references in past posts about your age, so that's why I am going to ask the next question...were you ever a fan of Madonna in your 20's? Did you wonder what everyone that disliked her was making such a big deal about, during those years? Or have you always been more on the conservative side? I am genuinely interested! I am not being a smart ass, or trying to be challenging, I really would like to hear where your comming from. It's just because I am so opposite of conservative, I love to hear other womens perspectives.

But, I hear ya...the two shots that you are responding to are a little, um, well...If you saw one of her whole performances, I think you wouldn't be as grossed out. She's a trip, that's for sure.

Go to Youtube and check out "Pokerface" or "Nothin' else I can Say". Those are both really awesome videos, that show a more chill side of her. There are also some interviews circulating on that site that are good, with GaGa. She's well spoken and super confident. Ignore the one being conducted by Paris Hilton, though. lol

Never was a Madonna fan. Dont know anything about her Blond Ambition tour. I dont recall finding her vulgar, but more just boring.

And I am anything but conservative. I loved Betty Davis (note: incase you dont know, she is the real nasty girl). She was powerful and sexual. Not some piece of meat getting passed around on stage.

And if you decide you want to have a conversation about some honest sexually powerful women, then let me know. I can hook you up with something other than teeny boppers trying to use shock value to compensate for lack of talent. :toimonster:

 

Your reference to Betty Davis tells me a lot about your tastes and where you are comming from, which is what I was looking forward to. And I agree with you about her being a great artist that was very empowering sexually as a female. She is a classic.

I was not trying to campaign for Lady GaGa to be crowned as "the real nasty girl", or to be voted into the "the honest sexually powerful" women's club. I just wanted to know what type of thing you were into, so I could get a better idea of your perspective, because it obviously differs from mine. And that's fine. I like being able to share different opinions and beliefs with other women, without it turning into a "pissing contest". Just as you found Madonna to be a bore, I find this typical reaction between females to be a bore.

It is all a matter of opinion...who is talented, who's nasty, or who's sexy and powerful. I am sure that I would like a few on your list, but I still would pop in my GaGa CD from time to time.
