    1. If you found out for certain there is a Heaven and a Hell, how would you change your life?

    2. If you could determine the age at which you will die, but with no guarantees regarding health or money, how old would you like to be when you go?

    3. If you had to select the one thing in life you feel most guilty about, what would it be?

    4. If you could rid the earth of one thing, what would it be?

    5. If you were to close down any charity, which one would you pick?

    1. If you found out for certain there is a Heaven and a Hell, how would you change your life?
i somehow want to believe there is a heaven but i donlt think i'd change if i'd know for sure. i actually think i'd stay and behave the same as now.

    2. If you could determine the age at which you will die, but with no guarantees regarding health or money, how old would you like to be when you go?
i am not sure .. my grandmother was still alive at 96 and still looking after herself and the house. i am not sure if i want to become that old. maybe around 75 and hopefully have no bad illnesses.

    3. If you had to select the one thing in life you feel most guilty about, what would it be?
not having seen my mom for more than 3 times on the past 7 years. i live in the UK and she's in switzerland but we don't get on too well (apart from when we talk on the phone) and i know if i don't see her more often i feel one day when she dies feel very guilty about it.

    4. If you could rid the earth of one thing, what would it be?
    racism!!

    5. If you were to close down any charity, which one would you pick?
one that helps children in any sort of form... children that are ill.

    1. If you found out for certain there is a Heaven and a Hell, how would you change your life?

I would do better I am sure.

    2. If you could determine the age at which you will die, but with no guarantees regarding health or money, how old would you like to be when you go?

    70 sounds about right

    3. If you had to select the one thing in life you feel most guilty about, what would it be?

What happened to my friend Rachel when we cut school.

    4. If you could rid the earth of one thing, what would it be?

Greed, because if people werent so damned greedy then most problems would be solved by working together.

    5. If you were to close down any charity, which one would you pick?

Susan G Komen Foundation. I think they have become bloated and lost their soul.

What reason(s) for the existence of Heaven and Hell would satisfy you? What do you think happens when our bodies die? Do you agree that our souls/spirits are energy, thus eternal? If so, where do you think this energy goes once our bodies are barren? Just very curious. Thanks. :)

It would have to be a better explanation than this is where good and bad people go.

And no I do not believe that what animates us is an incorporeal essence that survives death. When the body expires, so does consciousness, and our time in the universe has come to an end. Forever.

Yea, me too. Well, I don't really believe there's a hell the way most religions describe it or that we go there for reasons that religions describe. I do like to think there is something like a heaven though. Then if your spirit or consciousness (to me those can be synonymous) is tortured and you're not exactly spiritually (and I'm not saying religiously) sound, instead of going to "Hell" or "Heaven", you'll just be "earthbound" (because your consciousness doesn't know or believe that anything happens) and stuck being aware with no one being aware of "you" and that's "hell". I don't claim to be right or wrong, I don't think there's any way to know, but that's my little opinion I like to have. :)

So, if not an incorporeal essence, what do you think animates us? Then what do you think animates what you believe animates us? Why do you think we are here? Do you think we're "living just to die" like Tupac said? What do you believe is the point of life and the existence of humans and every other organism?

Life itself is explained through chemical processes that produce thought, intuition, action, etc. What fully animates a human being is consciousness, which allows for us to assume the role of a self ("I am."). This is something that other Earth organisms lack.

I'm an absurdist, so life to me doesn't have any given purpose. Instead I believe that purpose is something we impose on life to give it meaning. Most of us draw from conventional explanations provided by popular notions of faith, culture and society, but the truth is that we are capable of rejecting all of those things in favor of establishing our own purpose for being here.

Christianity, Islam, liberal democracy, capitalism, asceticism . . . are all socially constructed prisms through which we try to locate purpose, but each of us is capable of discovering it on our own.

I really appreciate you sharing your thoughts/beliefs with me, however, I must stop interrogating you for now before I become too morbidly obsessed, idolizing, and envious. ;)

Thank you to everyone who participated, I love to ask questions and read other people's answers and views. I want to do this every day until I run out of questions. I thought about it after wondering what would happen once all the people who signed up for Saty's Interview Thread were asked 10 questions. Plus, I wanted to ask everyone more than two. Even if people don't answer on here, I feel like some of them are good questions to ponder over if they do that after/while reading it. I'm going to ask five more for today (it's 1:35 AM my time) and I hope those will be answered too. Thank you everybody! :D

Short version, we were cutting school and got into a strangers car. I got out and thought she was going to follow me, but she stayed in and he abducted her. I wish I would have made sure she followed me.
