Go Gunners! Go Arsenal! This is our year!!!! Knocked off West Brom in first game. Anyone else got a pick to win it all this year?

Unfortunately I think the premiership isnt going to be too different from last year. Manchester United are going to win it again. Arsenal would have had a better chance if Ronaldo had gone to Madrid, but he didnt.Only way I can see Arsenal winning is if Manchester United and Chelsea have a lot of injuries...Hope I'm wrong though!

No way go Manchester! Lol Im so happy Cristiano Ronaldo stayed, how....HOW is Real Madrid a step up from Manchester United? Its about 3 steps down if anything.

Apart from Cesc Fabregas and perhaps Robin Van Persie, Arsenal are pretty average. I wouldnt swap anybody really out of Manchester United and Chelsea's starting 11 for an Arsenal player, except Fabregas and RVP in Chelsea's attack.

I really hope Bayern Munich draw Manchester United in Europe this season...I just want to see that current team in the flesh. Berbatov, Rooney and of course..Cristiano Ronaldo!!!

I distinctly remember cursing at the computerized rendition of Rooney, while playing FIFA on my pc; as he broke away from defenders, while sprinting down field, only to miss the shot

Arsenal are having a mare of a season, aren't they? Eduardo is back for you lot though soon, I think that'll make a massive difference. And if Arshavin goes there, that'll improve the team too.

Poor United are completely broken down with injuries :/ I'm not confident about the next 2 weeks AT ALL, half of our squad is out.

Dont give up on the Gunners just yet. Eduardo would be nice!

Yeah, we having a mare..Think title ambitions are over this year. Title probably going to you guys again. Liverpool probably going to run you close though. I think the best we can we can hope for is a champions league spot. But even that I believe will be a struggle. Aston Villa are gonna push us all the way. Eduardo coming back will definetly help.He is a class player.

yeah, united have alot of injuries, but you got a big squad, so think you will be okay. Was reading today in the papers and fergie was complaining how the lack of a christmas break was causing all the injuries. players are basically being over worked.

As a Mancunian and a United fan, you can imagine that my opinions of Liverpool aren't very high and I still refuse to admit that they've been doing well this season :p
Nah, they're doing alright but they haven't been playing well enough to win the premiership. But then again I don't think any team has had that consistancy this season, except maybe Villa! haha. It's been interesting watching Villa, shame that Arse are on the recieving end of it, I'd much rather see Chelski or Liverpool being pushed out.

Our defense is out though, and that's such a big problem because our defenders are the best in Europe in my opinion. O'shea is alright to have as a back up now and again, but we REALLY miss Evra because O'shea makes too many mistakes. I felt sorry for poor Evans having to do his own marking, and O'sheas because he was al over the place.
Once we get Rio, Evra and Wes back we should be sorted. The second part of the season is usually our best.
I can see Fergie's point, but the man does complain too much. If we manage to limp through the next few games, we'll be okay.

you have a very good defense, epecially Vidic and Rio. Vidic has done really well while Rio has been out. And yes, O'shea is definately the weaklink in that defense.Evra is really good going forward, really quick..wish we had someone like that. Your strength is our weakness. Our defense, is very ordinary,we need a decent centre half. Gallas is okay, but not outstanding..Anyway, we both have a mutual hate of Chelsea..:D

I just found out that the Gunners bought Arshavin. That should be a great pick-up for the Gunners. I still dont think they'll catch Villa though. Did anything happen with the Gunner's backline? I remember hearing Kolo wanted out a few weeks back. Is it also true that Robbo is heading back to White Hart Lane on loan? Silly Rafa. 20 million pounds for no results this season. Except of course for that BRILLIANT 1-nil goal against the Gunners.

By the way I'm going to be writing in this thread quite often. So please stop by and talk football with the kid. God I love football.

Yeah..we just bought Arshavin. It took so long! Think guy was being a bit greedy, and Arsenal wouldn't budge to his wage demands. You know Arsene wenger, very stubborn and stuck in his ways, never pays over the odds for player.

You know the backline really annoys me...its so weak. And it doesn't seem like Wenger is willing to spend big in defense. We need a massive centre back with presence, because at the moment out defenders are not the biggest. Yeah, Kolo wanted out a few weeks ago..but I think the problem has been resolved. The tabloids were claiming it was because him and Gallas didnt get along. And he was basically saying Gallas leaves or he leaves..I'm not sure how true that is. If anyone should leave it should be Gallas, good player, but seems to be a troublemaker!Even when he was playing for Chelsea he caused problems.

The Rafa Benetiz and Robbie Keane saga is laughable. According to some British tabloids, even though Benetiz is the manager of Liverpool, it wasnt he's idea to buy him in the first place! It was all done by the Liverpool Chief executive and the American owners. So really the move was doomed to start of with! Benitez didnt really have Keane in his plans..It was a farcical situation. That's part of the reason Benetiz is stalling on signing a new contract at Liverpool; he wants full control of transfer activities, and it doesnt seem like Liverpool want to grant him that.He also only seems to only want to sign Spanish players. He shipping a lot of the English players out. I feel sorry for Keane though, as he really wasnt given a chance to succeed.

Yep, Villa especially after todays results are going to be difficult to catch. It's frustrating though, because our squad is way better than theirs(I am biased though). We just had injuries to crucial players and Adebayor hasn't been firing on all cylinders this season.

I think its going to be difficult for Chelsea to win the league, especially after that Liverpool match..So many of your players misfiring, like Drogba who I very much doubt will be there next season. And not having Michael Essien in your team has really affected you I think. I think he is way better then Obi Mikkel. I'm glad you guys are struggling too! Because we hate Chelsea with a passion!lol. True Arsenal fans that is!;)

    1. Arshavin. Good job Arsenal. I think he's very talented. Now catch those villians..

    2. Gunner's backline. I think that whole story is hilarious. Arsene came out about a month back and said that his Centerbacks were too short. You have been picking those two at centerback for eternity now. Why is it all of a sudden the reason why the Gunners are losing? Don't lie to yourself Arsene. Good luck to Eduardo though. He's always a joy to watch. He'll be hitting the back of the net in no time.

    3. Rafa. LOL. I'm not even going to start on them. That's my dad's team. I just wanted to know if they Freed Robbo yet. By the way I'm selling Free Robbo T-shirts 3 for $20. Fernando Torres do your thing el nino.

    4. Gunners being better than Villa? I'm a firm believer in let the table do the talking. There's still 15 teams in the premiership that you can claim that Arsenal are better than. Dont let that get you down.

    5. Chelsea winning the league? Won't happen. There's alot of things Chelsea needs to sort out. Glad to hear the hate is mutual. Arsenal is showing their true colors this season.

I think it is. After Juventus wins Serie A, Mourinho will be sacked and return to Stamford Bridge. You heard it here first.

Chelsea's spending spree is finally catching up with them. They've become what Real Madrid were in the mid 2000s - a bunch of sappy, overpaid, pampered and undedicated combustion. Seriously, this team has the ability to win every single trophy they ever compete for, but there is a lack of gel in the locker room. That's what you get when you have at least three players for every single position. No harmony.

They thought Big Phil would bring the unity Avram Grant never was able to bring but it is clear that the enigma resides within the players. A number of people have got to go namely Didier Drogba, Michael Ballack and Florent Malouda. Not because they aren't talented players, but because they are toxic to the ability of Chelsea to play as a team and pick up points. For crying out loud, they tied with Hull!!! Now Hull made a brilliant start to the season - at one point, they were joint top of the league - but it is clear that the early season blues have dissolved and they have come back down to earth. Chelsea's bench alone could buy the entire starting lineup of Hull. They should be winning games like this, and not tying, especially not at home.

Bottom line is, Chelsea don't need a "new" manager, they need a new attitude - the one they had under Jose Mourinho. Well, maybe then it isn't new afterall.

    Agree with you 100%.
The problem isn't the manager with Chelsea. Scolari is a fantastic manager and in my opinion, Grant wasn't too bad either. The players have horrible attitudes, they're spoilt and they don't work hard enough. The way they behave on the pitch shows that things aren't all lovely and sparkly in the dressing room, same goes for Arsenal.

I feel sorry for Big Phil actually. He brought beautiful football to Stamford Bridge when he first started there, but his underperforming and passionless players ultimately ruined it for him.

It's nice too see a cute girl who love football the way you do. Also, when you know so much about the sport and love it like this, it leads to unlimited supply of conversation topics and it could be a good way to keep a guy's mind ofo your booty :) A shared passion would make him admire your knowledge of the subject

Anways, Football is my religion. Scolari wasn't the right manager for Chelsea. I am suprised Abramovich picked him in the first place of the likes of Frank Rijkaard, Louis Van Gaal etc.
