Okay, sorry. I'm holding up the thread!!!

    5. I can't think of anything specific to IL (because there are so many issues with this state), so I'll go with healthcare - especially Medicare/Medicaid and COBRA. I think COBRA is a great idea, but when you're jobless, how the hell can you afford to pay that kind of money for health insurance? I remember when I needed it several years ago and I was paying $250 a month as a single woman. Families have to dish out over $1000 a month for it. I think that defeats the purpose.

    6. I have a coworker who annoys the f*&k out of me. She treats people like garbage, comes in severely late every day, and not one word is said to her. Other people don't dress the way they should, take long lunches, come in and leave at their whim and not a word is said to them. And they aren't executives....so I guess the people who continually break the rules and are never called out on it is what annoys me the most.

    7. If I were Madonna, I would actually not have a next publicity stunt. I would retire from being on the stage and work on promoting and producing new talent.

    8. "Rosebud".

This is an interesting question. There are alot of things I'd like to confess. 10 minutes doesn't seem to be alot of time. However, the one thing I would confess is that I'm too nice all the time and should have told some people in my life to "go to hell". Cheers! :partyman:

Although that really sounds like more of a regret than a confession. :smt017

And I'll use these as my 9 and 10:

    9. The best piece of advice I've ever gotten (by several people at different times in my life) was "trust your gut". Unfortunately I don't always take that advice, or I let that advice linger for awhile, before I realize what I already knew....

    10. The absolute worst piece of advice ever given to me that I stupidly took, was to buy a house because my daughter needed a yard to play in. That was my family telling me this. I took that advice, we bought a house, and within a month I realized what a horrible, awful mistake it was....and that was the beginning of the end of my financial health for quite awhile. And of course, my a-hole husband refused to sell the house, when I tried to tell him that we made a huge mistake.

All I can do is chalk that up to a HUGE lesson learned. :(

Not sure if it's just a Midwest thing or not. I first had them in a Tapas restaurant near Wrigley Field. I've loved them ever since! :D

    1. If, in order to save your life, someone you know had to donate their heart to you (without dying), whose heart would you want inside yourself?

    My baby brother.

    2. If you had to name a single best deed a stranger has done for you in your lifetime, what would it be?

When I was a kid I was part of a program called "Save the Children". I had a sponsor from Canada when I was 3, two actually. A woman and her husband. I'm not sure how long they sponsored me, because when you're 3 it seems like a year is a lifetime, but I think it was at least a year, maybe two. Every holiday I received a package...for Christmas they sent me a pair of jeans I'd end up wearing until they were far too small, and a pair of shoes I'd wear to tatters. That was by choice, though, because I thought they were the prettiest clothes I'd ever seen. *L* The shoes were a pair of custom Keds, with my name painted on the toe and roses and vines on the sides. I got a huge chocolate bunny from them for Easter when otherwise I wouldn't have had one, since that year mom couldn't even afford to get my brother and I anything. She even sent my brother one.

I didn't really understand the generousity of it all until I was older... I was 3, after all. But I realize now that this couple I never met, nor got around to writing a letter to because I was too busy being a kid, helped me out quite a bit. I didn't know how poor we were when I was that little, and without those packages I would've been lacking in certain things a kid kinda needs sometimes.

As a side note: for some reason, when I found out the people were from Canada, I got it in my head that Canada looked like Candy Land. ...I had a great imagination.

    3. What is the best piece of advice you've ever received?

    "Get a divorce"

    4. What is the worst piece of advice and why?

"You can't divorce him now. Once you're married, you're married for life. You've just gotta deal with it..." given to me by my mother when I told her I wanted to divorce my ex husband. Her constant "advice", coupled with my ex husband's persistence, added about a year to my marriage when I wanted to file the paperwork and move to Akron, Ohio, instead.

LoL, yea, just do like me and wait till someone asks you a question. That's my plan now. :p

    Sounds like a plan. :)

Okay, I looked, if you want to go next you can ask DH (it's her turn now), you can ask her 2 questions as her 5th and 6th question. Then after she's asked 10 questions by all of us (asking her two questions each) then we move on to the next person and each ask them two questions...I think the next person is Sarah, since Saty forgot to add me to it after DH. At least, I hope he forgot and didn't do it on purpose because that would hurt my feelings.

Aighty. I'm not really creative with questions though, so I'll try to think of some later.

  14. Brittney

    Brittney Well-Known Member

Yea, I got mine out of a book because I'm not too creative either, heh. You could probably find some questions online though. Like from some kind of survey or something. But make sure you check how many questions she's been asked, so if someone beats you to it and asks her questions 5 and 6 first, then you will ask her 7 and 8 (and so on but not past 10) because that's what I go by. The number in front of the question, instead of going through and actually counting how many questions she's answered/been asked. ;)

    Okay DH -

What do you want your life to be like in 10 years and where do you realistically see yourself in that time?

    If that makes sense.

What if we just posted some questions and WHOEVER can answer them? It would be a nice way to know each other anyways. I'm getting confused with all the ppl and numbers.

No it's better this way because there is a narrative you get with one person and their thoughts, instead of random people answering questions.

I had no idea this was a common occurrence among newborns? What a trying thing to experience.
