The superbowl is almost here wish the pittsburgher here luck, I'll be at a party here in pittsburgh hope I won't get distracted by the twins(there is these two fine whitegirl twins that moved to the hood, they are going to be there...TWIIINS!!) Steelers offense: I think they are going to start off slow, but that is a benefit because that is what they always do, it is like a rhythm offense ben is more comfortable running. Cardinals Offense: Cardinals will play their hearts out, but they have only won against on Tough defense the past 2 months where as the steelers have won against 3(the ravens being a repeat.) So there will be struggles. They need to criss cross their plays within their formations in order to match the confusion that the steelers are going to create. Steelers Defense: I think Lebeau got this in the bag, 2 weeks to prepare is like giving manning too much time on the game clock in the 4th quarter. I think that Lebeau and company are going to blitz him and take away the short passing game, so warner won't get time to get rid of it fast.(unless he is throwing it away.) Cardinals Defense: I honestly think they are going to be more of an emotional factor and try to bring the same game plan they had against them in tomlin's first season when they met. Which will work for a lil while, but that is it. I see emotion and more of the same. Overall: "BREAKING NEWS" I think the STEELERS are going to win, because the steelers have been battle tested all year, they went up against the number 2 Defense THREE!! times this year, and beat them all three times. The cardinals have only recently been battle tested when they met the eagles the number 3 defense in the playoffs. Cardinals have a high powered offense but the steelers have a high power defense and Warner isn't good against the zone defense, the patriots always gave him problems with it. And Gandy on Harrison is a mismatch, advantage steelers.
Cards off to a fast start, with Fitz and Bolden both catching TD passes in the first half. Steelers try but can't catch up. Rothlessberger gets sacked 5 times and throws a couple of picks. Edge pours it on in the 2d half and gets over 100 yds. Warner MVP.
I know absolutely nothing about the game, but since I'm from Arizona, and all my boys are for the Cardinals, then so am I. Is that a good enough reason?
I don't really care who wins. All I care about is that I take some money away on the football pool! Actually, I'm kinda rooting for Arizona since they haven't been to the Superbowl as the Arizona Cardinals.
27-21, Arizona. Whisenhunt was the OC of the Steelers and knows what they are going to do on defense. Fitzgerald will be MVP.
:smt022 I am devastated! Well hopefully The Office is good, that show always cheers me up! Watched it after I got dumped...now I'm gonna watch it after my team lost the superbowl. I'm very proud of the Cards though, nobody gave them credit! Yay for them!
Just got in from the superbowl party, THE CHAMP IS HERE!!(In Pittsburgh.) Defense didn't stiffen like I thought, but they made plays, RECORD! Setting Plays! with that james harrison 100 yard INT return for a TD. Things are going crazy here, Im tipsy not drunk cool right now, anyway Im a go finish watching ESPN, see ya'll.
One of the best Super Bowls I've seen It was a great game. I was hooked on it from jump. I can't believe the Steelers pulled it out. I thought for sure after Fitzgerald scored that was it. But they found a way to win. Santonio Holmes was terrific! I can't say enough about the game. Both teams played to the very end. Much props to the Cardinals. Their D was damn good!
Props to both teams on fantastic ending. That play at the end with Warner fumbling the ball, that should have been reviewed. I thought that was too close to call. Overall, the officiating was much better than it was in Super Bowl 40, in which the Steelers won that one as well.
