Meet up?

Has there ever been like a forum meet up on this site where everyone got together?

I think that would be a cool idea, of course we're all in different corners of the world so it would be hard... but none the less I think it would be a cool thing to do one day.

I'm trying to imagine how well I'd get on with certain people. I wonder if they'd be the same offline as online... hah. I wonder if people would be as confident, sarcastic, charming, moody, whatever.

But yeah, has that sort of thing happened in the past? I know it happens quite a lot on forums and they get a big group picture together lol.

 

I think it'd be really cool actually. If we did one here, there'd be like, 4 people turning up, hahaha. One day we'll all just have to get our arses down to America.
I do wonder if certain people would be as sarcastic in person.

 

I think Vegas would be a fun place to have a meet up!

We should arrange one in the UK sometime, then! Get all the other Europeans over here too, we can crash with the London people, hahaha. I'm sure they'd LOVE to have us as guests.

I can get quite sarcastic but in the typical British way, I'm actually really inoffensive.

If it's a wintertime meet, let's meet up in Miami or the Bahamas. Summertime meet, anywhere's fine with me, as long as I don't have to fly lol

 

When it happens take some pix. What about Amsterdam,Brussels,Paris,London,or a German city like Frankfurt,Munich,or Berlin?

 

Sounds cool. Like other people have said it just would be hard to pick a place where everyone could meet up. There are people from all over the world on this site.

Oh by the way, what's the Manchester Academy 2 like? I'm planning on going there to see Ghostface Killah from Wu Tang in May, is it a good venue??

 

It's not too bad, it's medium sized. Academy 3 is the really small, I think that one only holds about 300 people but 2 is something like 1000-3000, I can't remember exactly! It's pretty good if it sells out completely, noise and a good atmosphere.
I didn't know that Ghostface was playing, I might have to look into that myself!

 

I just noticed on TicketMaster today. Should be cool. He was meant to be up here in February but it's cancelled... grr!

Ah, that's a decent size then. I prefer smaller venues compared to arenas. There's usually more crowd interaction.

I'm up for something in the New York City area. I haven't been up there in years, but I would like to go up there in the future.

I also wouldn't mind something around the London/Paris area. I know people that been there, but I haven't yet.

Just need to get me a passport and make sure that the dollar is strong, at the time.
